We first visited Carlisle House after hearing from friends about how special inn and its owners are. Our two stays have been so warm and relaxing. Mary and Alan are lovely, interesting people who have made us feel at home and always keep us up-to-date on the latest happenings in and around Carlisle such as the new places to eat or things to do. We always wish we could come back more frequently! Rooms are beautiful and immaculate. Mary's delicious quiches are from heaven!

My husband and I just spent 4 nights in the rose room. This b and b is not to be missed if you are staying in the area. Bathrooms are being updated. Rooms are cozy and beautifully furnished. Mary and Allen are attentive hosts. Mary grew up in carlisle and knows everything about where to eat and shop. Restaurants and shops are in walking distance. The breakfast quiches are delicious. We've stayed at many b and b's and this is one of our favorites.

We arrived amidst a torrential downpour with a strong current flooding the curb. Alan to the rescue with umbrellas and assistance with bags. We were welcomed to our amazing room. The accommodations are excellent down to every detail. It really is like being at home...if home is beatifully furnished, spotless and breakfast is prepared and served to you each morning. Alan and Mary are wonderful, genuinely warm people who are easy to talk to and knowledgable about the history of, and goings-on in and around, Carlisle. Close proximity to restaurants, shops, colleges, etc. We definitely recommend this special bed and breakfast to anyone! Hope to be back really soon.

A road trip to start the New Year, mild temperatures, First Night Celebration in Carlisle, and Mary's hospitality at the Carlisle House B&B - a great combination. With the B&B only blocks from the downtown celebrations we were able to enjoy a jazz singer, Elvis impersonator, rock band, acoustic guitar performance, bell ringers, Mr. Saey's beautiful tenor voice, fireworks, and the friendliness of Carlisle volunteers. There were even more acts than these, but we had to fit in sushi at Mt. Fuji and a drink at The Gingerbread House! The Carlisle B&B had the perfect location for our stay and a late 9:AM breakfast with blackeyed peas to guarantee a great 2012!
