Stinky, dirty, poor service... all in all this was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in my life. Don't ever have a business meeting here as they cannot adequately plan/staff the restaurant. I did not want to let any body part touch anything in the rooms. Simply disgusting.

Upon arrival , first thing noticed was the leaves all around the entry .... Wouldn't be strange but the leaves were still on the trees! How much work would it really take to spend an hour and cleanup the year old leaves from the entrance ? Dealt little with staff ... Probably good thing as others here for an event already got attitude from them ... Halls and rooms were very dark ... 40 watt bulbs all around ... I think its less for conserving electricity but they don't want you to have a good look around .... Sheets felt like crumbs or "something" on them , so I just slept on top of the bed ... Used a small pillow I brought .... I did not attempt eating there ... Although the "grille" was not open , on a Friday night ? ... All this for over $120 a night ? Never again ... Some freinds stayed down the road at a nearly new chain hotel and only $85 for a nice , clean , well lit room ... With breakfast ! Never again .... Too bad too because it has amazing potential ..... With proper management and hard working owners .....

The rooms were priced at about $65/night, and that's about where the positives ended. The room we stayed in had a musty, moldy smell and when we asked for assistance, we were told housekeeping wouldn't be ably to address it until the following day. We went to a convenience store to buy air fresheners to tolerate the smell. Hallways were poorly lit and smelled, as well. Bathrooms only had 2 sets of towels for a 4 person room. Only other positive was the opportunity to sleep in past the check-out time without an addl charge. Overall, poor service. Barely tolerable rooms...avoid, if possible.

My wife an I recently stayed at the Hotel Carlisle and honestly didn't find it as repulsive as many others have. I don't know if we just caught it on a good day, but our room was clean (always ask to see a room before paying), it was very quiet, and the price was hard to beat. The main plus for us was how pleasant the girl at the front desk was - she took time to show us a room and gave us a great rate when we asked for a better deal.

Don't get me wrong, this is not a five star property. But for what we payed, we were happy.
