My wife and I (no kids) stayed at the Canonsburg Super 8 on Nov. 16. The motel is just off I-79. It's a bit tricky to find, but it is far enough from the freeway so that there is no traffic noise. Check in went fine, and the room was spacious and spotless with an efficient heating/cooling unit. King bed was comfortable. No fridge or microwave in room. This Super 8 is a bit pricier than most, but we chose this one both for its location and previous experiences with other Super 8 units.
The breakfast was a disaster. The breakfast area is literally in the lobby, right across from the front desk. The seating consists of two small tables and a few chairs. There was coffee, English muffins (no plates for them) and packaged sweet pastries of dubious worth. No juice and no bagels (both of which are promised in the in-room service guide). No cereal. When one guest asked the desk clerk about juice, the clerk mumbled something about the manager not getting it yet that morning (this was at 8:30 with breakfast being 6 to 9). With the price of rooms at this Super 8, they really need to add value to a stay by providing a better breakfast.
