Our one night stay at this Holiday Inn Express exceeded all our expectations for a franchise in a small town. The night staff was very helpful in straightening out a reservation error made online through a 3rd party. Our room was clean, large and very comfortable. Up-to-date in every way. The next morning we were greeted by cheerful "good mornings" from maid service, breakfast server and checkout folks. The complimentary breakfast included pre-made but tasty omelettes, hot sausage, make-your-own pancake station, freshly baked sweet rolls and all the usual fruit, cereal, bagels and coffee. We left happy!

This review was long overdue. Stayed here the night of 8/17-11 on our way to Virginia Beach. I had previously made a request to the manager Mr. Steve Ringer regarding a comfy chair to be in our room. My elderly mother is up and down all night and basically sleeps mostly upright due to bad shoulders. Not only was the chair there as promised, but our room was very nice.

Had a great breakfast in the morning before getting back on the road for the day. I was able to introduce myself to Mr. Ringer and Thank him myself. Only come this way once a year, but with several family members back and forth this will be the stop for us all.

Room was clean, most importantly! Good size. Would have like a microwave & mini fridge though. Breakfast was really very good, food was hot and plenty of it, even at a half-hour before close. Night staff very nice, morning staff ok. Overall hotel was clean and well maintained. Nicely decorated sitting area with a computer for guest use. Would stay again.

Overall my husband , our 17 month old daughter and I had a great stay . The room was clean but the tv was outdated. The breakfast was very good and so were their serving times 6:30 to 10am in the great room. The service was excellent and they were very accomadating for last minute reservation. We only stood one night but it was pleasant and will return if we ever have a chance.
