It's not the Ritz. It's not the Bellagio. It's not even the Best Western across the road with its fancy colour schemes and matching furniture. However, if you're not too precious about these sorts of things you'll appreciate the very low rates, reassuringly sturdy door locks and friendly owner (he even made me a special Indian burger). Get here quick before they knock it down in December!

We were stuck in Breezewood with car trouble for about a week. We are retired and choose it because it was very reasonably priced. We found the room to be clean, good internet access, and a working t.v. the owner was very kind to us stranded old folk and offered to drive us places(and did) whenever we needed to get around as the city is not very easy for those on foot. It is nothing fancy, but for our needs and budget it was wonderful.

Stopped late at night looking for a budget motel because I was getting an early start the following morning and did not need amenities. After seeing the room, I should have bolted, but was too tired to engage in a hassle to get my money back and move on. The room was in poor condition. When I pulled the bed cover down, there was a visible ring of dried fluid on the white underside. The sheets were clean, but I felt it best not to pull them down to examine the mattress. The smoke detector had been removed from the wall leaving only the mounting bracket. The TV was OK, but the remote didn't work. Bare fluorescent tubes lighted the room on the side opposite the bed, the covers having long since disappeared. Above the bed were hanging lamps. The center one was missing with the wire tied in a knot. The bathroom sink was sprinkled with shaving stubble. I have a beard. The bath tub was a mottled blue color from scrubbing with some abrasive. I did not use it. Plaster on the bathroom walls was curling outward and chipping off. The small bathroom window had clear plastic sheet covering it and attached to the edges with tape. This was clearly a budget motel that was not a bargain.
Shame on the Chamber of Commerce in Breezewood.

Chose this place because of the low rate advertised. We should have gone to the Penn Aire or the Wiltshire. When I asked about rooms, the guy at the desk sized me up and said I'd better look at one first. People with new cars must not stop there much. The room was just okay enough that I took it. The rate was really low, around $30+tax.

This place must have been very fancy when it was built in the late '50s. It's funny that its two older neighbors have fared much better. The big neon sign on the roof only says '-zewood' anymore. The lamps and some furniture look original, which would be kind of cool if they weren't so dingy. The carpet is very worn, and the bathroom, while generally clean, had a lot of discolored plaster and DIY patching on the walls. At least the bed was clean enough that I wasn't creeped out by getting in it.
