“Not so great.”

The location would be good in the winter to use the ski resort - in the summer, not so much!
A litany of issues - nothing major, but when put together, very obnoxious:
The downstairs toilet is loose
The mattress on the queen-sized bed in the downstairs bedroom was very old and worn. (one of those soft, "hollow", roll toward the middle mattresses)
The exhaust fans in both bathrooms are nice and loud. Unfortunately, they were completely ineffective
The front strip of counter laminate was flapping (unglued?) on the counter left of the stove
The glass turntable in the microwave was missing
Although the unit was set up to sleep 6 people, there were not enough dishes for 6 people. And at least one of the plates appeared to have been broken and glued together
The battery in the kitchen clock died while we were there. We couldn't find a AA battery to replace it
It would be nice to have an option for recycling in addition to a place to put the garbage.
They decor could use a lot of updating. (Really - who wallpapers the bathroom door these days?)

“Best New Years”

I stayed here for New Years with some friends and significant other. The service was excellent. The people were so very nice. Because we stayed in this resort, we got discounted lift ticket and rental prices. This was the best new years ever. The place we stayed in had two floors, a kitchen, and a back deck. It had snowed while we were there so there was a lot of fresh powder which allowed us to have ski in/out access. After Jack Frost closed around 4, we were able to catch the last lift to the top and ski half way down, and through the woods right up to the back deck of our own place. It was great!!!!

“Peaceful, tranquil, picturesque!!!”

From the moment we walked into the condo until the moment we walked out it was a beautiful experience! The weather was cool and springy with the birds excited to be coming out of the cold snowy winter. My son was already staying in the condo previously with friends the weekend before to ski! Everyone left but him. We walked in and the fireplace was blazing, the view out the sliding glass door was amazing (small lake semi frozen) and the place was awesome. Better than expected! The next day while sitting at the table we noticed a family of deer walking past our door! Breath-taking view!! We enjoyed shopping at the outlets nearby, visited Great Wolf Lodge, the awesome indoor waterpark resort (extremely pricey to stay) and local gift shops. Also visited the newly remodeled Mt. Airy Lodge/casino nearby. Absolutely the most amazing food in their buffet! All-in-all our time spent at Snow Ridge Village was very exciting and/or relaxing!!

“Really Great, Very Inexpensive”

We stayed here last year, and are going again. The kids loved it. We had the hot tub right in the room. It was very clean, and our particular unit was not dated as another traveler mentioned theirs was (perhaps ours was renovated). The price is right. Much cheaper than Camelback, and they have a GREAT Ski school, and GREAT tubing. You can't go wrong. The rear of our property was on the lake, and the deer came right up to the back of our unit. The kids got a kick out of that.

“Dated furnishings but quiet and cozy”

The unit we stayed in (11) was smaller and not as nicely furnished as the Wilowbrook at Split Rock. It also did not have a jacuzzi or electric fireplace. (If you want firewood, they sell it at the check-in counter for $4.00.) However, the price was right, $175 a night, for President's week. It was very private and faced a lake (frozen). It had a nice deck for star gazing. It also had thermostats in every room, including the bathrooms, which was terrific. The television in the living room was a nice size and came with an old play station with one game. The very old and tiny television in the master bedroom did not work. Both bedrooms were nice size. The master had a very comfortable queen size bed. The second bedroom had two singles. The kitchen was old but worked just fine (the microwave was the largest and oldest I have ever used ). The entire condo was covered with grasscloth wallpaper from the 70's. (You know, the kind that looks like tiny bamboo shoots all put together). Okay I guess, but certainly in need of an update. The location was fantastic for skiing at Jack Frost. Literally, five minutes door to door. Keep in mind, Jack Frost closes at 4:00PM (tubing also). The ride to Big Boulder takes 20 minutes. You make a left leaving Snow Ridge Village (just as if you were going to Jack Frost), pass over 940 and continue on that road following the signs. So, therefore, if you really plan on skiing Big Boulder, pick someplace closer like Splitrock. Let me tell you, travelling on those long winding roads (that are pitch black at night) gets exhausting and eats up a lot of gas. Not to mention that completely annoying stop to pay the 25 cents (both ways!). Back at the condo, if you need provisions, make a left on 940. There you will find a beer distributor about a half mile, maybe less, on your right that sells cases only, and other assorted items, including candy and cigarettes at very reasonable prices. All in all a very nice place to stay. Very country like and spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Can't wait to visit again. We booked through Worldres at (--).
