yes, we know we can find cheaper accomodations, but there is something about this peaceful place that keeps us coming back. the staff is always welcoming, the rooms are spotless, their restaurant is always reliably good. there are 2 sections to this hotel: the original "motel" which looks like a typical old-fashioned motel from the outside - it has the older rooms, you park in your space in front of your room - it's totally fine. it's got the bird in hand market on one side and the restaurant on the other (bakery across the street). the "newer motel", which is a 3-story motel/hotel, is in the rear and that's where the indoor and outdoor pools reside, the mini-golf, etc. the newer hotel is slightly more expensive not just because of the newer rooms, but also because it has a few sitting areas w/tables where you can play cards, sit w/a group of friends, etc. both areas are fine for what they are. it's a modest hotel, nothing upscale here, but it's clean, well serviced, and reliable. it's a great location if you're trying to avoid the busy shopping and tourist areas. one negative: i bring my own pillow because they have rubbery polyester pillows that i have trouble getting comfortable with.

This is a nice place to stay with plenty of attractions right there or within a short drive. They have both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor pool. They also have a very good restaurant and a min-golf course. The room s are fine and very clean. the whole place is extremely well-maintained. It is owned and operated by member of the Smucker family (of Smuckers jams and such.

You get very little, exception ( OK POOLS) , for the money. BEDS are as hard as rocks! Rooms are just OK, nothing great. Internet is fair, have to sign in every time! Showers are lukewarm, with no pressure.
Peace and love , yeah right. I have had unfriendly staff to deal with a few times, as per other reviews. So much for Peace and Love. These guys are on a head trip! Now they are coming up with more ways to get your dollars. I was just there a month ago, and they have a theater in the basement of their disgusting resturant with shows that cost $$$$. Way to go, get it while you can guys. Go to Dienners Buffet for Peace, Love and REALLY good Amish food. And save some big bucks too!

We walked in to see some rooms and were asked for a credit card. The rooms were not to our liking nor did they accomodate the size of our family. We left and when we returned home (after staying elsewhere), we noticed that they charged our credit card. We never agreed to stay there.
We never expected this in the Amish country, but you never can trust people. Never give your credit card unless you are sure you will be staying there. There are a lot of hotels in this region, one better than the next.
