We were in the Langhorne area and looking for a place to stay as walk-ins. We started out at the Sheraton , which was full. I wanted to stay in a Choice hotel to get my points, and we asked and were directed to this Quality Inn in Bensalem. When we arrived, they were full. But they were very kind and gave us a list of nearby hotels and told us we could use their phone, and a lobby computer to check availability. It seems that every hotel within a 20 mile radius was full--everytime we were directed to "try such and such" they were full. When I asked the clerk at the desk again if she just had something--anything--she double checked her deposits, and room blocks, etc, and made a few calls, and found that there was one room someone held on a block that wasn't being used, and we finally got a room! I must admit it was more expensive than their usual rate, but I found that it is also customary when occupancy is at peak, that rates can go up. Anyway, I felt the clerk went the extra mile to try and help me, and I give them a good rating for that. The room was clean (really a suite, that was all that was available) and comfortable. Breakfast was standard continental fare, cold cereal. danish, boiled eggs, sausage, waffles, juice, coffee, etc. I have no complaints.
If you wanted late nite snack food, there was a Dunkin Donuts adross the Street, and a Hooters next door. Other fast food further down the road.
The room did lack pictures on the wall. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and bathroom was nice (granite vanity).

Stayed there with my daughter and two grandsons. First room we were in noticed damp carpet by the bathroom and room felt damp. Reported it and the next day we transferred to another room because even after a day the did not know what the problem was, and room smelled damp as well. Second room was much better. Ice machine all out of ice, on 2nd and 3rd floors, reported on second day there, and got ice from 1st floor, when we left after 4 nights, still no ice. Also for being close to Sesame Place, did not have any printed info about part or directions to get there. Breakfast was adequate, however, had to ask a couple of times to have stock replenished. Would not stay there if go to the park in the future, unless I was sure renovations, etc had been done.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past four years, while taking my family to Sesame Place. I book two rooms each time. Up until this year, we have been very satisfied, The price, rooms and breakfast were always good, This time the clerk sent us to a room that was occupied and the scary part was that the key worked in the door. My daughter and her daughter walked in on a man in bed. The manager claimed we were too early, it was 3:45 and check -in is at 3. The room was okay, ac noisy but worked well . Breakfast buffet was bare at 7:30 and not replenished. We did not find dirt or mold that others found and the bedding was clean and comfortable,. The management should really step up because the location is fine, close to restaurants and Sesame.
