I travel across the United States, Canada and Europe for business and when forced to spend more nights in a hotel thanks to a water heater failure and subsequent flooding I was not pleased. Luckily, this is quite a bit more than a business grade hotel that I'm accustomed to. Faisal, the manager, booked a room for my family at the last minute when I was worried about finding vacancy. The room was clean and even sported an LCD tv, a refrigerator and a microwave which I certainly wasn't expecting. The hotel gym is adequate if a little on the small side though the pool more than makes up for it. The restaurant and bar are what really made my experience though. The food and service was outstanding. I generally eat out at least 150 nights out of the year at many top restaurants and the Cajun chicken pasta blew me away. The cocktails with dinner were second to none and the servers were very personable. Both bartenders were quite funny and really made me enjoy my few nights there. I was somewhat disappointed to find that the hotel didn't offer a continental breakfast but that's a minor complaint.
The only reason I didn't rate this hotel as five star is due to the fact that it's not the Plaza or Bellagio and doesn't pretend to be. Thanks to Faisal, Lou and Cody for helping make the best out of a bad situation!
