Lovely smaller motel on the coast. Room included a kitchen that was fully stocked with everything one would need except groceries! Very nicely decorated rooms with plenty of room and comfortable bed. Extra clean!! Motel hosts, husband and wife, let you be, but are right there if you need anything. Gidget, the dog, loves to visit everyone. GREAT PLACE TO STAY for the whole family including the dog. :-) Very reasonably priced too!

After reading the mixed reviews for the Ya'Tel on this site, we decided to take the chance and were SO glad we did! We had a very enjoyable stay -- it was clean, cozy, and CHEAP! It's not luxurious by any means but for the price, you will not find anything better. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

What we loved: friendly owners, the presence of a kitchen (nothing like getting to cook your own fresh seafood for dinner!), the cleanliness, the cute decor, the proximity to the ocean (about 2 blocks), and the town of Yachats in general compared to the surrounding area. Also, free Wi-Fi -- definitely wasn't expecting that in this small town.

What could be improved: the bed was a bit hard, but since we are young and back-problem free, it wasn't a big deal for us. We both slept just fine.

The place is a good value when you're traveling with the family. Be warned though: the beds are hard as rocks. This was a problem for us because I have severe back problems and chronic pain. I woke up very early the first morning, in bad pain because the beds are just so hard (I'd been in zero pain when I went to bed).

The second problem is the layout of the rooms. We stayed in the "Family Room". It has a nicely done kitchen and plenty of room to sleep, however, the bathroom is awkwardly located. You have to go through the only bedroom to reach it. This makes the entire reason for a bedroom - a little privacy - pretty pointless.

The last problem is one I take big issue with: On their website, they say "across the street from the beautiful Pacific Ocean". This is not true. They are on the east side of Highway 101 - and three blocks from the ocean. If I had known this (in other words if they had not lied on their website) I would not have stayed because proximity to the ocean is extremely important to me while on vacation.

We had reserved three days but left after the first. The owner only charged us for two days, which I do appreciate. In light of the false advertising on their website though, I should have been refunded for both of the nights.

Arrived at Ya'tel around 10pm to be greeted by Bob. Really friendly guy, couldn't do more to help us. We paid $75 inc tax for a room with 2 queen beds and a queen pull out bed - this housed our party of 5 perfectly. In fact, the "suite" even had a separate bedroom for one of the queen beds.

Impeccably clean throughout with a heavy emphasis on environmental friendly initiatives.

Fully recommended.
