I will go out of my way to stay at the Doublegate, even if I have to go far out of my way. It's the kind of place for which one finds excuses to return again and again. It's also a great base from which to experience the Mt. Hood area. Come in need of replenishment, and you will leave refreshed and ready to face the world again.

The quality, attention to detail, warmth and friendliness of this place cannot be overstated. The Chanterelle suite was perfect for our family, and a welcome respite from the impersonal hotels we've stayed in for almost 2 weeks. Delicious food, great hiking and dinner recommendations, wonderful introduction to what bed & breakfastsn are all about. Thank you Eric and Stephanie!

My husband and I stay in B & Bs almost everywhere we go. This time we really hit the jackpot with a terrific inn near Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge. The Innkeeper,
Stephanie, was as sweet and helpful and a great cook and compasionate and caring.
I wasn't feeling well and she helped locate a physician who saw me that day. She had a robe, and wonderful fuzzy slippers (which are now in my closet at home), for me to wear, made me herbal teas for my throat and really helped us with the town and thoughts for where to go. The bedroom was so wonderful with a sitting room adjoining and a great big tub. I would recommend The Doublegate Inn in Welches, Oregon, to anyone!

We wanted to stay in the Mt. Hood area for a few days to celebrate our anniversary and found Doublegate Inn on the Internet. The website was informative, the photos excellent--and our curiosity was piqued. We booked the Chanterelle Suite, which has a parlor room attached to it. The room was immaculate, bright, and comfortable. And the price, which includes a full breakfast, was a bargain compared to Timberline Lodge.

The Inn is close to good restaurants and many great hikes.

The Kasters are excellent hosts. They're personable and helpful. We would absolutely recommend the Doublegate Inn.
