We had room 312 it was lovely overlooked the river! Excellent value for money bed was huge and comfy, excellent kitchenette and bathroom. Big room and very clean. Staff extremely pleasant too. Good guest laundry facilities and pool/spa. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice. We only stayed one night and would liked to have stayed more! Astoria is just 2 min drive over the bridge. Would definately return here!

We were over from England and we were really pleased to have found this hotel. First impressions are always important. The lady on reception was excellent. Loved that fact that coffee available all day in the lobby. The indoor pool looked nice.

The room was a great with a comfortable lounge area at one end. Micro wave and fridge. Lovely comfortable bed. Well impressed. The aircondtioner didn't work so I reported this. A very helpful lady member of staff came up and 'had a go'. She had a tiny bit of aircon knowledge and between us we got it going. She had lots of initiative. Well done.

We didn't try the breakfast because the U.S. hotels we had visited previously had put us off American breakfasts for life. We came here because the rooms had the fridge and microwave. Brought our own breakfasts. Worked well.

Would definitely stay at a Shilo again. A good experience.

Prices in Astoria are higher than I Seaside, however considering this hotel is in an industrial area outside Astoria proper, you can do better elsewhere. Our room was dated, and tiny. Breakfast was bare bones, please microwave your own eggs?

Great hotel for out of town visitors.
Led by Laurie and Colleen at the front desk, we out-of-towners were made to feel very much at home in this facility. Both of these ladies gave us locations to visit and dine that made us feel like part of the local and surrounding communities. We were pointed to some great "visitor" type attractions that kept us busy during a week that originally appeared to be destined as a sentence to "boresville". The basic cleanliness and good upkeep of the property helped give us a feeling of comfort while staying at the property. Our little dog seemed to be at ease as much as possible for him. Many in the staff treated him as a regular guest.
