“Lovely hotel in convenient location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

This is a large, full-service, privately owned hotel, like we had in the old days before the proliferation of chain hotels. They are very accommodating - a fruit bowl becons you from the registration counter, newspapers are left at your door each morning, and a computer is available to print boarding pass or check your e-mail without charge. The rooms are large and have large screened TVs. Breakfast is included in the room rate with about 10 or so different options. We enjoyed being able to walk around the lake out the back door and even stopped to enjoy an Italian dinner at a restaurant across the lake as part of our walk. We have stayed here twice now and both times the service has been excellent and the personnel very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Some rooms overlook a large manmade lake in the back - ask for one if this interests you.

“Elephants overhead”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

It is a Christmas tradition for us to spend Christmas night at the Century Hotel. We always stay in the same room (a lakeside suite) on the second floor. It is a nice quiet hotel and they offer a coupon for breakfast at Hayden's Grill adjacent to the hotel.

We entered the hotel and was greeted by a gal that was a little on the unfriendly side. Have to wonder if it was because she had to work on Christmas Day. Not very personable at all. That we can overlook.

The suite that we stayed in is on the second floor. Unfortunately for us, the hotel placed a family with two small children in the suite above us on the third floor. At 7:00 p.m. they all came into their room and the children ran and jumped over our living room. I called down to the front desk and the lady said she would call the people above us. We didn't hear anything from the front desk and the noise continued, so I called again. Was told that a family with two small children were above us and that they would be put to bed shortly. They did finally quiet down after about a half hour.

As far as our room, it was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable and all other things in our room were wonderful as always. Have made reservations for next year and plan on staying on the 3rd floor in a lakeside suite. The gal that checked us out was very personable and helpful in making reservations for next year.

We will overlook the two hiccups this year and we are looking forward to staying in the hotel again in 2012. It is a great place to stay and a wonderful central location. We always go to M&S Grill in Tigard and it is about a 10 minute drive to the restaurant from our hotel. Highly recommend this for out of town guests.

Room Tip: Stay in a lakeside suite. There is a wonderful view of the lake from all sides of the suite. Highe...

“Great secret of tualatin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

Front desk great, indoor pool and hot tub fit the bill. Had lakeside king suite view amazing but don't know why the lake has two plastic swans? Room service available and hotel gives coupon for free glass of wine or dessert with dinner. You also get free breakfast they have a list of eight different breakfast for free, if you want something else on the menu you get $5.50 credit to your check.
Bed was so comfortable I did not want to get out of it in the morning.
Nice and quiet, one of Tualatins best kept secrets.

Room Tip: Do king rooms they face the lake

“A great place to stay in Portland for Biz or Lei!sure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

While this is primarily set up as a biz hotel it is great for vacation travelers too.
We just finished a 5 day stay in September. I can recommend this hotel highly. Great value, location and best staff I have ever encountered. Lead by the Manager Brenda they met every request quickly and pleasantly, always smiling and helpful. They loved suggesting things to do in the area. It is very conveniently located just a mile or so from the I-5 only about 15 minutes form downtown Portland and 20-25 to the Airport. Tualatin is right on the edge of Oregon’s wine region with wineries only minutes away. There is a big Fred Meyer and K-mart as well as numerous fast food and a star bucks all within walking distance of the property. The hotel itself is on a small lake that is surrounded by restaurants. The on property restaurant and bar, Hayden’s Lakefront Grill is very good and reasonable priced and all hotel guests get a complementary breakfast and at dinner a glass of wine or free desert. They have spacious rooms, all have a microwave and mini frig and all have a small balcony (so get a lake side room). The hotel is 100% smoke free! The rooms are nicely appointed and the bed was the most comfortable I have had. They have a pool, hot tube and exercise room.

Next time to the Portland area we will not bother looking for any place else to stay!

“Great Hotel with a great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

We stayed her two nights recently and were pleased with the hotel and its amenities, as well as the location. Check-in was easy and our room was nice...didn't have a room looking out to the lake, but our friends did...very nice view! The property is located on a small lakefront with other business around the water as well...and a restaurant affiliated with the hotel is right off of the lake boardwalk as well...very pleasant view from the hotel and restaurant. Parking is ample, and the location to nearby areas and to Portland is great! Would definitely stay here again in the future ;))

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with a view of the lake...very nice day or night!!
