We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Troutdale, OR, for one night in September 2011. We were going to a concert at McMenamin's Edgefield.
Location: Walking distance to the Edgefield Winery, so great for concert-goers and, I'm assuming, lots of weddings. Very easy to find off I-84. There didn't seem to be tons of restaurants in the immediate walking area, but there were a couple of quick-stop type places (and the Edgefield Winery has lots of restaurant/bar options).
Staff: The staff was friendly and we were helped quickly.
Value: I think this hotel is a good value considering the specialized location. We paid $150 including tax for two people. The price includes free parking and a hot breakfast (which we didn't end up having, so I can't speak to that).
Room: We had a double queen room. It was very spacious and extremely clean. It had a refrigerator and microwave plus all the usual stuff. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't hear a lot of noise from our neighbors (mostly just some air conditioning noises), but the doors opening and closing nearby (starting around 8:00 a.m.) was pretty loud.
Bathroom: Though it was also very clean, the bathroom was teeny-tiny and difficult to navigate. The shower had water pressure issues and the water temperature danced around. However, the bathroom DID have a fan, which I love.
Overall, I'd definitely stay at this Best Western again, but I might plan to grab a shower at my next stop.
