“Great Hotel & good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011

Stayed 4 nights in early May.
Arrived too early to check in but they found a room for us to store our bags in until the room was ready. Reception staff were very welcoming and gacve us directions to places to eat & shop.
Room was very spacious & quiet with a good shower & comfortable bed.
Indoor swimming pool and guest Laundry came in very handy in the wet weather and the free internet was an added bonus.
A nice touch were the fresh baked cookies & lemonade that they had in the lobby in the eveings.
Breakfast was very extensive with at least 2 hot options as well as a good choices of hot drinks & bread selections.
Staff were very knowledgeable about the local area & were able to check on local road conditions before we set out on our day trips.
They advertise it as a Best Western Plus & I feel that the plus should be awarded tpo the staff from Reception to housekeeping. They made our vacation on the area a pleasure.

Room Tip: Book online for the best rate.

“Avoid during winter freeze”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2011

AAA rates this hotel as 3 stars out of 5. Don't get me wrong it is a decent place but there is room for improvement. Yes, there is a trucking company directly behind the hotel and they do make noise but it wasn't too bad for the five days I was there. The big problem and it is huge, is the in/wall heating/air conditioning system. During freezing weather the system automatically turns on every ten minutes for about ten seconds to avoid freezing. You can't turn if off or unplug it. This system is like having a diesel truck start up in your room every ten minutes all night long, it is unbelievable. I spoke to the manger and she told me she had stayed at the hotel during the freeze and she agreed it was impossible for her or anyone in the hotel to sleep during a freeze. She told me I could leave the hotel because it cannot be fixed and everyone must suffer through the problem not just me. So, avoid this place like the plague if there is a chance of winter freeze at night. If the weather is ok, this place is ok. The was nothing exceptional here, but it was clean and everything worked. The free breakfast was just OK, cold food items were the usual fare, the faux sausage and eggs were disgusting and inedible one day and just poor the next. They need a new food vendor. The housecleaning crew was good, one clerk was helpful when he put down the novel he was reading to answer questions. My son stayed at a new holiday inn that was new and looked much nicer than the best western and had a restaurant attached. If you stay at the best western there are no close restaurants so you will need a car.

“Nice large rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 March 2011

My husband and I stayed in one room and his mother, sister and nieces stayed across the hall. We had 2 queen room and they had a family suite. This is an older building that has been renovated, but you can still see some 1970's touches. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Overall it was a good value, but not anything special.

“A good place to stay with young kids”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2010

Have stayed at this hotel couple of times when we come up to visit the grandparent near by, it has large 2 queen bed plus a pull out queen size sofa bed that we used as we travel with 3 young kids. The beds are comfortable and room clean. Front desk person when we checked in was not very friendly but the check out guy was very nice, However, I have to compliment Anna, she was working both morning at the breakfast area, she was very friendly, helpful, and kept the place very clean and ready. The breakfast has a good enough selection that my picky kids were happy, fresh bagels, english muffins, danishes, tater tots, egg medallions and sausages, you can make your own waffles, with whipped cream and syrup. The main complaint I have is that the spa/pool was cleaned during our stay that was on a holiday weekend, we booked the hotel because there was a pool/spa that was to be opened early, unfortunately it was being maintained on Black Friday, pool opened at 11am and spa was freezing, was not to be hot until 2pm or so.. that was bad as we were leaving for the day, and could not use it. It should be advised upon check in or when you book it that that is a regular maintenance day. When I asked the front desk, they said it is done every other Friday without change.
This is my 2nd stay at this hotel, and I probably will stay here again.

“Noisy, noisy, noisy!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2010

Traveling around the western united states, this was the noisiest hotel ever. Even downtown Seattle was more quiet then this hotel. The door shutting was ridiculous, from 6 in the morning the constant door slamming to diesel trucks warming there trucks up right next to the hotel. Yes loading dock directly behind this hotel, made for impossible rest, & made for an angry morning.
