Quiet rooms and nice staff. Loved the Christmas parade which passes by right out front. Small town and very peaceful. Terrific place to get away from it all, good feeling and atmosphere.

For the other reviewer she is so wrong. I don't know who was there then , but I was treated friendly and invitied to ask for anything I needed. Television problems happen to everyone every where and I have spent time at other very swant establishments and have had t.v. problems. Besides not much happening on t,v, at the coast. People go there to enjoy the outside not to watch t.v. I don't know who goes through linens everyday. When we say linens are you talking towels, or bed sheets. Towels if you need more how about asking for them. Some people are so different, no one is a mind reader as to what some want or need. It is a quaint hotel built in the 1920's and could stand a few more improvements but that comes with time and money. I love the fact it is old and reminds us of the past and how it was back then. Which so many people forget and don't care about. What a shame we are so short sighted and think that the only thing that is important is how spoiled we are and we will not have a good time if everything is not at or beckoned call. The piano was so beautiful and the old buildings and dock was great. Parking was a little short, but what did they have in 1920. For all those who want to see what it was in the past needs to visit it. It is a quaint town and a step in the past. Rooms where nice and clean and I found every thing I needed. The rates are as good as anywhere else.

Not only did we not get fresh linens every day, we had no television access - just "snow" 24/7. Then the owner decided to charge us by the DAY instead of by the NIGHT. Check in on Tuesday and out on Thursday, for example, and instead of paying for Tuesday and Wednesday night, he would charge for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We disagreed and he yelled at us and charged our credit card for an extra day anyway! It's theft, pure and simple. We will never give that jerk another penny. He is rude and doesn't care about the comfort of his guests. Just say no to the Yaquina Bay Hotel and stay in Newport instead.
