“Excellant timeshare resort”

I have been coming to The Pines since 1985 with my family. I was 4 years old for my first visit and don't really remember much or how much it has changed. The property is in great shape and is walking distance to the Village Mall, Great Hall and the Lodge. You can't beat the location. The resort had a huge Clubhouse which we have reserved for large parties of up to 70 people. The units have been recently remodeled as well and are all in great shape. We have stayed at the Pines 3 times in the last year and a half and have thoroughly enjoyed each stay. The Pines also offers free bike rentals for each unit. They are beach cruisers and not the highest quality, but you can't beat free.

Room Tip: They can't guarantee a room, but I always prefer a lower unit with the deck right on the lawn. U...

“loved it, very nice renovations”

Had a wonderful time at Sunriver. The condo was refurbished and was just beautiful. Awesome gas fireplaces. Wish it was colder so we could have used them. Pool was nice, but could have been a bit bigger. But it is very seasonal there so totally understand. The bikes with the rental units were a nice touch and we made quite a bit of use out of them. Definitely will be back!

“Very relaxing time, comfortable.”

Stayed Sun. to Wed. Had a 2 bd. Bdrm downstairs with full bath 2 sinks, 2 double beds. Upstairs King bed and tv,full bath. Everything was clean and comfortable. Front desk people very friendly and helpful. So many bike paths but the weather didn't allow me to go riding. The best advice I can give that I didn't do myself is to grocery shop before you get here. The village store has outrageous prices. I came down 97 from bend and I saw a fred meyers but didn't stop thinking there would be another store before I got there.Well there isn't. Taking the 97 business exit in bend will get you to walmart and fred's. The old section of bend has some great little shops for that one of a kind item. Enjoyed eating at the Pine Tavern and walking around downtown. I stayed in F7 which is next to the office and could see the clubhouse out my window. Downtown Bend is only 13 miles away. Quick drive into town.

“Relaxing and beautiful - Vacation Internationale Pines at Sunriver”

We stayed at the Pines in October just for a long weekend. We reserved a huge 2BR and had plenty of space for the 4 of us. In addition to the two beds, there was also a murphy bed in the living room area. The kitchen was spacious and well-stocked. The decor was rustic, but not old. There was also a gas fireplace in the living area. At the back of the unit, there was a huge deck and a view of the golf course & mountains.

The pool was clean and centrally located, but it was dark in the parking lot.

We enjoyed walking on the various trails at the resort, as well as hiking the plethora of trails nearby.

Overall, we love the Pines and will be back, but please increase the lighting in the parking lot!

“Nice stay at the Pines - Huge 2 Bedroom”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

We stayed at the Pines, Sunriver Resort on February 5-6, 2011 after scoring a sweet deal on LivingSocial for a 2 bedroom, ground floor condo. I called ahead and confirmed our reservation with the staff before arriving, and had requested the ground floor unit. They mentioned they couldn't make any promises, but would attempt to honor my request. I'm so glad they did because we had 2 decks that stepped right out onto a grassy area, with the pool and clubhouse no more than 30 feet from our door (E-3). The staff was very friendly and accommodating the whole time - we ended up checking in 2 hours early.

About the unit: The 2 bedroom is HUGE! We had 2 doubles in one bedroom and a king in another. Each room came with it's own bathroom. The kitchen is adequate, but very tight. It has an oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, basic cooking supplies. It's kind of a tight fit for 2 cooks, but it works. The living room is spacious with a small flat panel, dining table, couch and chair. The decor is pretty basic but nice. I'm wondering why the couch is not a fold-out hide a bed?

The location of the Pines is pretty nice. In close proximity to the main clubhouse, main pool, and other amenities. Of course the bike paths of Sunriver are GREAT, as we rode our bikes the full two days. The Pines has a nice pool (that was closed) and hot jacuzzi (which was open), along with a large "Club House" with free ping pong and .75 cents a game pool, TV, and tables. In the basement are video games, a small workout room with old equipment, and a hot sauna (light burned out) There was a bathroom with a small shower too.

A couple of downsides: Parking is a premium. The whole area near the main lodge is a pretty strange layout, with small roads, parking lots, cars, tennis courts etc. Didn't have a very "outdoor" feel to it that a private home would have. The Kitty Hawk "cabins" are available, and they look like they face the water near the golf course

All in all, the Pines is a great place to stay in Sunriver because of it's central location to the Lodge, Mall, Pool, and more.
See my photos for more details.
