By searching for a place, on line, to stay in Seaside, Oregon, we decided this looked the best as it is on the waterfront, and has a restaurant. In case the weather was doing a typical Oregon wet arrival it would be easy to have a meal.
The restaurant looked and smelled awful, so we went up the street to Pudgy's for a nice dinner.
It is the most expensive hotel listed in Seaside. I'm not sure if I want to write to Shiloh.com, or be satisfied with dear 'tripadvisor.'
What a joke. I can't think of one thing that was nice.
We had booked by phone several days ahead of our arrival, but as we "were there for only one night," we couldn't have a waterfront room. Our room faced out to a wall of a hotel across a sort of lane.
I could go on and on, but I am happy with the room we have tonight in Crescent City Ca., and am trying to put our disgust aside.
The room was so cold, that I put a sweatshirt over my jammies, and tried hard to be cozy.
The bed was quite comfortable, though there was no extra blanket. Thanks for listening. :=)
Room Tip: None available in this Shiloh, I am sure. I won't go to any others now either.

Dear grannyof4321,
I do apologize that this location is not to your liking. Yes the oceanfront rooms are generally one of the more expensive rooms in the Seaside and these receive great reviews. I am sorry that all these rooms were sold out on the night of your stay. In reading your comments you must have stayed in one of the two rooms on the side of the building. All the non view rooms are standard hotel rooms and priced much differently. In many cases they are priced lower than most hotels that are not located on the Prom. If any guest feels like they need extra blankets, pillows, towels, etc…. please don’t hesitate to call the front desk we be happy to bring them up for you. Grannyof4321 I do hope you will contact me directly next time and I’ll make sure you get an oceanfront room to exceed your expectations.
