“"Nightmare On A Street"”

Got here on Friday. DO NOT COME DURING CONSTRUCTION!! Yes, you see the warnings not thinking it would be too bad, but it is. This was our honeymoon and was looking forward to a nice, quiet, getaway on the beach. Workers are off on the weekend, but wait until Monday morning at 8:00 and it all begins.....Next door, a saw was cutting through cement, noise and burnt smell coming throught the vents, had to leave....Then nightime, a clunking what sounded like it came from the roof, like someone constantly dropping something. Turned out to be the elevator. Didn't notice it during the day, because we had to leave. Then came the flapping, slapping plastic allllllllllllllll night long on the room they were working on next door. They wrap the top floor in plastic and some other fabric outside. Very loud and unable to sleep. They did try to fix the plastic, but it ripped away that night. Then comes a loud whirling, whistling noise, that creates a suction from the room into the hallway. What next? Had to push a rug next to the door to stop the noise that is heard throughout the room. We spoke to 3 or 4 different people, "sorry, nothing can be done" If you want a quiet getaway with customer service, this is not the place to come. Can't stay in the room during the day because of the noise, can't sleep at night because of the noise. Stay away from "Nightmare On A Street". We are leaving early to get maybe one quiet, peaceful night sleep before our honeymoon is over. Front desk said we can't help you, as you are a guest not an owner. Another manager type person had an intellegent solution which was "turn the fan on (a fan is in the closet) and listen to white noise, point it away from you and it won't change the temperature any". That was his recommendation. Enought said.

“We stayed over the busy Labor day...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010 via mobile

We stayed over the busy Labor day weekend. Big pool, nice beach, lots of fun things to do over a three day weekend. Clean rooms, had no issues whatsoever with Worldmark. Jacuzzis were busy and full but what do you expect on a weekend ?

“Great Location and Comfortable !!!!!!!”

We had booked a 1 bedroom unit for 6 nights directly from an owner. We were assigned a corner unit on the 7th floor facing north which had a view of the ocean, the town and hills from the balcony. Unit had a stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, 2 TVs and 2 DVD players (one in the bedroom, other in the living room), king bed in the bedroom, queen murphy bed in the living room and balcony had a barbeque . You have to pay for internet in the room. however, you can exchange your Id at the lobby to gain access to the business centre where there are about 5 or 6 desktop computers and 1 printer you can use for free. On a wall close to the business centre, there are discount coupons for restaurants and select shops in Seaside which you can use.

There is also a recreation room with ping pong table and other games ( including a small arcade), and of coz the gym. Pool was great - being heated was a bonus, so were the 2 hot tubs. You can rent DVDs at the lobby for $3, but it will cost less $1 at the Safeway by the highway.

We attended the timeshare presentation, thinking it would last 90 min which was what the host indicated. Instead, we got stuck there for 3 hours+ but in return received a $75 Amex card, probably not worth the time lost unless you have time to spare..

Location was great, easy and quick access to beach, lots of restaurants and shops.

“Wonderful Place to Stay In Seaside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2010

We booked our 5 night stay directly from an owner. This resort is very nice. We had a "one bedroom" which consists of a bedroom with a king bed and a murphy bed in the living room. There is a full kitchen with plates, cups, pans, etc. We were on the 7th floor in a corner and had a nice view of the ocean from our balcony. The rooms are updated except for the tv's, they are fairly small and not flat screen. The pool area is very nice and my kids enjoyed it even though it was only 60 degrees (the pools are heated). The resort is as close to the beach as you can get and right on the main drag with all of the shops and restaurants. We bought groceries at the Safeway and had quite a few meals in our room. There is covered parking and you can rent the fun bikes from an outlet on the north side of the resort. All in all a wonderful place to stay, especially if you can get a great deal from an owner.

The one issue I had with the rooms was that there wasn't any safety lock on the door that went out to the balcony. When I went to open it my 4 year old son was the one to figure out from the diagram that it was already open and showed me what I was doing wrong. Needless to say my husband decided to sleep with him in the murphy bed...just to be safe. I am surprised they don't take more safety precautions with those doors since every room has a balcony and most kids would be staying in the murphy beds. Another issue is that they charge for internet use.

Still would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!

“Birthday Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2010

Spent Memorial weekend enjoying a birthday celebration. Staff is always more than helpful. Two bedroom fully equipped kitchen condo has all the anemities including gas grill on the deck. Enjoyed early morning adult pool time and evening fireplace in the room, Good thing that the place has three DVD players because we had to shuffle around to find one that would work for the different rentals from the lobby. Pretty comical finishing a movie together on a twin bed. Makes for good memories. Always enjoy Seaside no matter what age. We now spend our time at the art shops compared to the arcade when our kids were young.
