This was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in!!! From the minute we got into the lobby, I could tell this hotel was going to be bad. The bright blue paint job in the lobby was bad and the letters "Welcome" were not painted on straight. The color did not seem normal for a Super 8. The lady at the front desk was not very friendly, and seemed unprofessional. At check in, we were not told about the breakfast or the pool, and we were not given the password for the wireless internet. We parked in the back of the hotel which was right next to the freeway... LOUD! All rooms with 2 Queen Beds face the freeway. We also noticed a huge cell phone tower right next to the hotel, which was also unusual. Once we entered the hotel through the back entrance, we knew we had made a mistake of staying here. The hallways looked very cheap and old, and the air smelled of smoke. We climbed up three flights of stairs to our third floor room (no elevator). The main hallway also looked creepy, and it felt as if somebody was going to jump out of a room to scare us. We ran to our room and opened the door. We walked in and saw our two beds with a dark colored bedspread. There was no microwave, no refrigerator, and no table by the window. We only had the very basics in the room: Old TV, two beds, clock radio, lamp, coffee maker, phone and a single chair. The nightstand didn’t have any drawers and it actually wasn’t really a nightstand at all. The bathroom was small and semi- clean with soap, shampoo, and an ice bucket. The bed pillows were flat and several of the towels had small brown stains on them. The next morning, we left early. There was nobody at the front desk to check us out, and there was very limited food. There was only coffee, two packaged breads and a container of dry bagels. The breakfast runs from around 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM. We left at 7:00AM and it looked like most of the food was gone. We took the last two packaged breads and left. Overall, I would not stay here again. The only reason we stayed was because of the price during the Oregon State Fair ($85.00 +tax). For the same price, the Motel 6 across the street or the Rodeway Inn might’ve been better.
Room Tip: Get a room away from the freeway, if possible. Get a large suite if possible.
