This was my first stop on my way from Seattle to San Diego. I was looking for deals on hotel rooms and found one for this property.
It is an older motel but well maintained outside. The owners obviously care about the exterior of the hotel. The outside has not been remodeled. Do not let this be of concern to you. If you are traveling through to another destination; the hotel will serve it's purpose for a nights rest.
Check in was efficient, friendly and welcoming. The staff explained hours for breakfast and when cookies would be served in the evening.
My room was on the small side but enough space for myself and a couple of bags. The carpet was a bit worn and out of date. It appears some remodeling to the interior had been completed but the carpet was older. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Extra pillow and blanket were available in the room (which I used; the room was freezing when I arrived) . The AC/heat was an old style window unit placed in the way, at the rear end of the room next to the vanity. It took the unit a while to warm the room and I ended up taking a hot bath to ward off the chill. I read the in room information book which stated some rooms had baseboard heating. Yuck! I can not image how long that would take to warm up a room. It is rather cold In this area during winter months.
The bathroom was small but updated. Nothing special but again served it's purpose. It provided a warm bath with plenty of hot water.
Overall, I slept well. There is a bit of highway noise since the property sits just off the freeway.
I would stay here again if I needed a room for one night.
