I was reluctant at first to stay here, but we were just looking for a place to crash for the night while travelling and Travelocity gave the hotel 3 stars. There was nothing 3 stars about it. We had to get our room switched because the first room smelled like cat. The second was just fine. The furnishings are dated, very "country", like you're staying in someone's farmhouse guestroom with all the leftover furniture. Old TV, no wireless (but they did have an ethernet cable), carpet needs cleaning. The rooms also open to an outside pass-through, which I'm never a big fan of for safety reasons. The location is convenient; right off I-5 and hwy 138 to go to Crater Lake. I also wasn't impressed with the desk manager. I walked in to ask a couple quick questions and I stood there for about 7 minutes without any acknowledgement while she was on the phone with another customer.

Overall, I would have stayed at a Super 8 or Motel 6 for the same quality and lower price.

We usually don't write bad reviews but this place was terrible. Our room was so small you could hardly walk. Seemed like they had stuffed a king size bed into a closet. The microwave was taking up space on what should be the desk. The refrig was on top of the counter by the bathroom sink. The tv was on top of a dresser and it was about to fall off of it. We could never recommend this hotel.

The hotel was somewhat hard to find coming from Crater Lake. The staff was friendly and helpful. The floor above us was skweaky though and the ceiling light rattled when someone walked across the floor. Good breakfast, there were lots of choices.

We stayed in Roseburg for two nights because we were visiting Crater Lake and the Wildlife Safari. It was decent but nothing fancy. The room was clean and we had a lot of space. The washrooms were decent as well. One thing is that they could have provided a few more towels.

The hotel is close to the highway but we did not hear any noise. On one night, however, one person was snoring very loudly in the room next door and we could hear it through the walls.

The breakfast was just fine. There were eggs and sausages provided. I was disappointed that there were no waffles like other Choice Hotels that I've stayed in.

The plug in internet was a bit slow. Parking was free.

Overall, Quality Inn Central does the job in terms of providing a decent stay for a reasonable value.
