My traveling companion and I were pleasantly surpried to fine this lovely property within a 45 minute drive of Crater Lake.Our motel room, with a queen and two twin beds, was clean and neat. The staff in the main house was friendly and helpful. We had dinner , each of our two evenings, in the Dinner House, and the food was fabulous.The "Prospect Historic Hotel" was quaint and unique. It was a nice break from the standard chain motels.

I just came back from Crater Lake with my wife and two friends. The lodge in national park was full so I booked two hotel rooms from Prospect Historic Hotel for one night. I think I made a great choice and we really like this lovely histroic building. The hotel room is nice and clean, bed is comfortble. The owner and staffs are very friendly. Breakfast is tasty, one of the best I had during my trips.

The hotel is in a quiet small town about 40 minutes away from the national park. We also took a hike to the mill creek waterfalls around the hotel and it is gorgeous.

The room, (Jack London) was cozy and cheerful. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean and well maintained. The property is convenient to Crater lake, the staff were cheerful, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They gave directions to local natural attractions. They shared recipes willingly and laughed readily. Dining was comparable to Crater Lake Lodge with far more favorable pricing. Reservations were easier to obtain.

We stayed in the motel and had dinner in the hotel. The building is old, but beautifully kept. Friendly staff. The motel rooms were more than o.k. We would stay here again.
