Just beyond the updated lobby the stank of old, run-down motel comes creeping in. Our non-smoking room had the smell of cheap deodorizer attempting to cover up years of what was once a heavily smoked in room. We had a ghetto view of the nicer Best Western across the rooftop and the highway. On the other side of the hotel would have been a much more pleasant view of soccer fields but we were only there for one night so we tolerated it. The bed was old and uncomfortable. The elevator was sketchy. I didn't expect luxury but the pictures of this place online are deceiving. There's a convenience store right next door and a restaurant (Elmer's - Oregon's German Denny's) and it is very convenient to I-5. Front desk was nice enough. Breakfast was par for the Day's Inn course.
