I am a very frequent Fairfield Inn guest and on the whole I always have a good experience. So I do not ususally have anything negative to report about Fairfield Inns. This hotel was typical - clean and comfortable. Unfortunately it is very close to I-5 and an on ramp. If you are a bit sensitive to noise (like me) ask for a room away from the highway. My initial room was on the highway side and the truck noise was pretty bad. I asked for a different room and was given one with no questions. I guess I was fortunate the hotel was not crowded. The staff were friendly and eager to help.

This hotel was everything we could have asked for. We had a room just off the lobby on the ground floor, which was clean, comfortable, and convenient--and I loved the extra-high ceiling! It might be noisy on the other side of the building, but our room couldn't have been more quiet. Beds were quite comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wireless Internet was fast and reliable. Breakfast was perfectly adequate. Absolutely no complaints--we'll stay there again!

I have stayed at this hotel before, and had a good experience the first time so I went back and was not disappointed. I was in a handicapped room and found it very clean, comfortable, roomy, and yet I could tell that if I had had special needs, the room would have been perfect for those needs as well.

The beds were comfortable, and my friends and I particularly liked the ambient noise machine in the room. Although we were fairly close to the freeway and the airport was not too far away, you could not hear the noise from outside at all. The bathroom was nice and big as well.

Front desk staff was very pleasant, even though we checked in really late at night, and they were very kind in allowing us a late checkout as well. The breakfast was the same as you would get at any of the Marriott hotels, so no skimping there, even if the nightly room rate was less than the other two Marriott properties across the street.

kinda hard to find, as the intersection to get to it is tricky, but overall, wonderful place to visit.

Located near I-5 on the north side of Portland, the hotel makes a reasonable stopping point for a drive along the I-5 corridor. The hotel is standard, dependable Marriott Fairfield which means: well maintained, clean and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. Noise is well controlled and the nearby location of PDX is not an issue. Drawbacks: 1) the hotel is a bit isolated from restaurants so you do have to drive a bit for dinner and 2) access from I-5 is a bit convoluted owing to the layout of local roads and on/off-ramps.
