We stayed four nights at the Portland's White House during the month of July. The on-site hosts welcomed us warmly even though we arrived at the door steps a few hours earlier than planned. Since we were not planning to spend much time in our room, we reserved the Blarney Suite. Cautionary note: the web site says small; I say shoe box. Breakfast was typical American fare: eggs, bread, meat/pork, cheese, accompanied with a sample of fruit. This place is a dual operation (bed and breakfast and special events). During our stay, there was a Nike event and a bridal shower. Because of this split focus, I believe one operation takes precedence over the other. For example, on day two we returned to our room to find the bed not made, the bathroom towels still hanging over the shower stall, and the garbage can full. In a previous post someone commented about a leaky shower head. Guess what? It still leaks. The really good part about this B and B is the location.
Room Tip: If you don't mind shoe box size rooms, the Blarney is the room for you.
