Perfectly located in downtown Portland. The free wifi was the fastest Ive had in many hotels. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The decor is modern yet classic. I would highly recommend it and would stay again.

While the location itself is fantastic - I felt i was able to walk anywhere in the downtown area - what really sets this hotel apart is the outstanding service. As a frequent traveler, I am not exaggerating when i say that this was the most genuine display of customer service I have experienced to date. With an extremely sore back, they did everything from wheelchair me around the hotel, to provide ice for me at 2am while in bed, to arranging a visit from the paramedics. I felt they were always looking out for my best interest - extremely concerned with making the stay at their hotel pleasurable. Just a great, impressive experience.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel Jan 14th. This hotel has tried to renovate the old Imperial Hotel in Portland. There was no restaurant. The food in the bar/lounge was taken from a box in the back, with one person in the kitchen. There was a lack of help with the valet service even though there was a $35 charge for in and out during the day. The king beds were nice in a very tiny room. Good location.

I've stayed at the Lucia several times, but only travel to Portland every couple years. Sometimes you worry that a hotel like this starts to slip after a few years, but not the Lucia. This stay was as great as my first. The rooms are comfortable, the look and feel of the place is perfect, but it's the staff that make the difference. Friendly, helpful, and fun. I wish every town I stayed in had a Lucia, but it might be that the magic of this place in Portland is impossible to duplicate.
