Checked in on Saturday night for an early flight out Sunday morning. Only after checking in, realized that the entire hotel reeks of cigarette smoke, despite the numerous 'no smoking' signs.

Got to our room, linens were washed, but not very well - had lots of spots and stains. Tried calling down to the front desk, but the phone didn't work.

We decided to stick with the cleaner-looking bed, but then couldn't sleep because of a loud couple next door, screaming, slamming doors all night and keeping a large dog in the room, despite the hotel policy against pets.

We made numerous trips down to the front desk. The staff is very nice, but not very helpful. Overnight, it appears that the front desk clerk is the only employee working in the entire hotel. They are unable to enforce their own rules.

Finally, at 4:30 am, having gotten no sleep, we left and went to the airport just to get out of the hotel. Also, while most Comfort Inns provide breakfast starting at 4:00am, this one does not start breakfast until 6:00. If you have an early flight, you'll have to eat at the airport.

The whole experience was just plain disgusting.

We have stayed here many times when in Portland. We found it a few years ago when looking for a place to stay where we could leave our car for 2 weeks. They were very accommodating. The location is excellent for getting to the airport and they have a shuttle. It also very close to the MAXX Line to get around Portland and downtown. The rooms are roomy and clean including a microwave and fridge. It is next to an Elmers Restaurant that is also a good coffee shop type restaurant. Spa and pool are open 24 hours. They have free WIFI. The breakfast is pretty typical for these places, waffles, eggs, sausage, sweet rollls etc. (The coffee could be better). All this for usually under $80. We got it with a coupon for $60 last week.(the price is a little higher if you plan to leave a car there for a week or more but still worth it) We have never had trouble getting a room here. Parking is close to the building. It is also right off of I-205 easy to find. The front desk people are always very friendly and helpful. I really cannot find one thing to say negative about this Comfort Inn.

This hotel is not only located near airport, but it is also relatively close to Portland downtown and attractions. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights there and our experience was positive. The room is bright and clean. The hotel attendances are nice and helpful. There are some nice small restaurants around. The Vietnamese pho restaurant nearby is especially nice. This hotel also offers free shuttle to and from airport.

We just used there park and fly program and it was a very good price and super convenient. The room was very nice and comfortable. The area isn't the best but the part where you keep your car seems very safe with a fence around it and in complete view of the hotel. The shuttle was on time in the morning and super easy to catch on our return. Would definitely use this hotel again when we fly out of Portland.
