La Quinta Inn at Portland International Airport offers a great deal for travelers who need to be near the airport. This is one of the smaller chain hotels in the area, but it has what you need. A clean, comfortable room with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, in a quiet building.

Breakfast is served from 4:00 AM, perfect for early risers and those who have early morning flights. Hot items include scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, and a waffle maker. Cold cereal, yogurt, fruit and muffins are also available.

I had two restful nights here. As others have noted, parking may be a bit crowded but that was a very minor issue.

Highly recommended for the budget traveler.

As a guest, invited to a Portland wedding, we needed convenience, access and affordability. We got all 3 from the La Quinta near the Portland Airport. Just off I-205, it was only 15 minutes to downtown and 20 min. from the wedding venue in Camas. The beds were incredibly comfortable - no doubt due to the pillow top! Great shower, too. The breakfast was impressive, with all the usual continental offerings, plus waffles, scrambled eggs (done perfectly), delicious sausages and biscuits and gravy. A great way to start the day. The room's a little small so it was crowded on Sunday but we had it all to ourselves on Monday.

We ventured into downtown Portland to visit Powell's Books and find a McMenamin's Brepub. The Crystal Hotel and Ballroom has the odd, triangle-shaped Ringler's Pub. Cozy but great for people watching in the Pearl District. And the beer is great!. We dined at Deschutes Brewpub a few blocks away - their Elk burger is amazing! After the wedding we found McMenamins on the Columbia in Vancouver - great views and a late happy hour, which was fun.

We wanted to hit a Voodoo Donut shop before we left and headed back downtown. Big mistake! Their popularity has caused long lines. Well worth it but next time we'll try the Voodoo across the river. All in all, a great trip!

I think the only negative thing I could say about this hotel is that there isn't much room for parking, but otherwise, everything was first rate! The staff was amazingly helpful and cheerful, the room was very very nice and clean with adequate room to relax. The bathroom was big enough, the bed was comfortable. Easy access to the airport and the shuttle was running very efficiently. The breakfast was excellent and starts very early for those of us who choose red-eye flights! Overall, I highly rate and recommend this property!!!

We stayed at this hotel when we were in Portland on vacation. The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly, & helpful when it came to needing help with directions to some of the places, that we wanted to visit..The room that we booked was the smallest handicapped room that they had. We could have gotten a bigger room, to accomadate my husband, but he didn't want to pay the extra price. We should have paid the extra & gotten a bigger room. The hotel was real close to a new strip mall(Cascade Station), they had alot of nice stores, including a target, that we went to alot. They also had restaurants that were within walking distance, of the hotel. They had a breakfast that started at 4am-10am.. wide variety of goodies. The parking was free(always good), free internet. The swimming pool was so refreshing after a long day of site-seeing. They also had a hot tub, & exersise room. The only complaint I have is the bed was a little bit harder than I like. After we left Portland to go farther down South(stayed there for 6 days), we went back to Portland(half-way point back home), we had checked into the hotel again. We were lucky, because they only had 5 rooms left. We were just there for 1 night, this time. We got a double queen room, the manager gave us a bigger room, with bars in the bathtub for my husband, with no extra charge this time. We should have gotten this room when we were there the week before..Very Roomy. 2 beds, a couch, 2 t.v.'s, frig.,microwave, coffee maker...We had checked in on my birthday, & my husband had asked the manager where a nice restaurant was, so he could take me to dinner for my birthday. She had told him Saylor's Old Country Kitchen. It was only 10 min.away from the hotel...What a great place(did a review of that place too)..If we go to Portland again, we will be going back there..Thank You La Quinta Inn & Suites, Portland Airport.
