“Great deal, nice place”

I'd stayed here a few years ago, but went to more expensive places because I wanted wi-fi service which they didn't offer.

Now that I have a wireless card I went back - AND now they have wifi LOL. The wifi worked well, the rooms and comfortable, include a frig, and a smaller TV. What's missing is a clock (which I miss), but for $50 a night, I can live with it.

Service staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was OK, the heat/a/c unit worked well.

You can stay at the Ramada across the street for 65% more, but as I don't spend much time in the room when I'm not sleeping I find the Chestnut Tree more than meets my needs.

“Much Different”

Have stayed here several times but, this time was the worst. My gaughter freaked out when she saw blood splatters on the ceiling and, when I went to the front desk to confront the clerk about it, he was too busy watching television and only commented that he doubted it was blood. I definately know what blood looks like. I did take pictures to send to them since, the desk clerk was not concerned at all. Then, the pounding on the door at 5:30 in the morning for 30 minutes was unacceptable. Will definately not stay again.

We like the Chestnut Tree. We've stayed there several times. It is always clean. It is not a five star hotel, but if you are looking for a friendly spot with free coffee - this is it. It has great shower water pressure - that may not be your thing, but it definately is a plus!
