I live in Portland, but needed a couple of nights while my home was being repaired. I selected this hotel based on price, amenities, and the great experience I had at its sister property (Radisson Portland).
This hotel did not disappoint. It's not fancy or super updated, but it's clean, the rooms are big - they kindly upgraded me to a room with a kitchenette, and the staff is friendly - the breakfast staff in particular went out of their way to make me feel welcome.
I don't know if this is true for all rooms with a kitchenette, but I loved that ours was not visible when you entered the room. You walked to the far side, turned left and around a wall there was a full size refrigerator, stove and all the other things needed to prepare full meals. The rooms are a little dated, but the big waterpik showerhead had great pressure and everything was very clean.
The breakfast had a good selection including lots of hot items and some variety each day so if you stay awhile you won't be bored. The only thing I didn't like was that they play musak in the breakfast area while also having the volume up on the TVs mounted on the ceiling. It's kind of distracting and at one point both were pretty loud.
Parking is plentiful and free and I felt safe at night. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and efficient and I would gladly stay here again. It's another great choice for early morning flights or if you live in NE Portland and have family visiting from out of town.
