“Fantastic hotel!!!”

The only thing this hotel didn't have, that I thought it did, was a free buffet breakfast. However, the walk-up and order little bistro cafe was TERRIFIC! I stuck with the French toast with fresh strawberries and Starbuck's Verona coffee every day it was so good (about $10)!! The entire staff was consistently terrific. I booked here because Philip was the nicest on the phone from all the places I was considering. King size bed and variety of pillows provided a delightful night's sleep. Bathroom fan noisy (big deal), and you could hear an occassional toilet flush, yet 99% of the time the room was quiet. Airport noise was zero. Nice 32" flat screen, little couch, tasteful decor. The free shuttle will also drop you 5 min. away to do some shopping at Ikea, Ross, Marshall's, Carhart store, etc.They have a boarding pass station with: a good size screen that's monitoring flights, another with news and weather, plus 3 computers with printers if you didn't bring one. Big screen near the lobby that often had sports on it, fire pit burning outside in the rain, good selection of alcohol and dinner possibilities, as well. Really nothing not to like and everything to be pleased with.

Difficult to find ,I think it would even confuse a garman.Rooms nice,there was renovations going on ,which were not a problem.Front desk meet 3 different people 2 very nice,the 3rd either a bit snobbish or clueless.Nothing to brag ,nothing to complain,just ok.

“Great Stay in Friendly Atmosphere!”

We stayed the week end and were warmly greeted. The room was recently re decorated and was very comfortable. Even though the lobby is being re decorated the staff was very outgoing and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful, with many fresh items offered. We will definately stay here again. The location is central and easy to navigate to other areas in Portland.

“Free earplugs in the room - need I say more?”

This hotel is basically on the runway of the Portland airport. It is so loud that they offer free earplugs in the room. The fluorescent lighting in the room is depressing! Tiny gym. The ambience of the hotel is pretty bad - I wouldn't stay there again. BUT the service was great. The front desk was accommodating, the airport shuttle driver was very flexible, and the room service staff, as well as dinner was great (Chinese Chix Salad).

We had 2 different stays at the PDX Courtyard By Marriott. Although I enjoyed staying at this hotel our first experience was a bit better than our second but just minor complaints.
Rooms are very comfortable, first room equipped with fridge/micro, extra blanket in closet, nice sitting area with coffee table... all around very nice. Was a bit lacking on second stay...paid same price for room but didn't have fridge/micro, no extra blanket, no coffee table. depending on your reasoning for staying these things may or may not affect your stay... It did mine a little bit.

Overall... very nice staff(especially Toby!) comfortable rooms, nice TV's, Great Internet and good room service and restaurant service!
ONLY STRONG NEGATIVE IS THE NOISE... maids yelling down the hall in the morning, airplanes(its PDX Courtyard I know) Trains going by and traffic on front side of hotel... but in all fairness they do provide earplugs :)

I also stayed in Courtyard in Tacoma Downtown...HORRIBLE!!!!!! I couldn't wait to get back to this hotel...
