...which is just fine for my wife and I. No valet or bell staff, no coffee shop, no free breakfast, no gift/sundries shop. And one or two of the counter staff were creeps. But we thought the rest of the experience was excellent. They have a small open "place" (for lack of a better word) where you can buy morning snacks, pre-wrapped sandwiches, candy, juices and some personal products. They also have a coffee/espresso machine -- $3.50 for a cafe mocha.

A few kudos: they were very willing to allow us to bring our young Portland grandkids to use the very nice, 24-hour heated pool. The small workout room is user friendly. Live music in the lounge was most enjoyable and the bar staff was always friendly. Rooms were quiet for a hotel off the end of a runway. And they will give you a $5 voucher for use in the hotel each day you choose not to have your room made up. Use it for that morning cappucino.

There's free wi-fi in the simply appointed rooms, although there is no ethernet. There's the usual in-room coffee, hair dryer and iron. Our room had a small refrigerator and a microwave. All in all, we were quite happy with the accommodations.

The hip spartan feel might have been less fun if the hotel weren't across the street from several decent restaurants and a mid-scale shopping center, featuring an Ikea store and a Target. This 60+ couple will probably stay at aloft again...and again.

I would like to take a moment to compliment the personalized service since a previous review was not as favorable. I stay at the Aloft almost every month for work. I travel a lot and truly appreciate the simple greeting, welcome back Miss Widtmann by Cheryl. Happy to see Katy is back with the Aloft as she always welcomes your return with a sincere touch. Most importantly I appreciate the care of the Team. Thanks Cheryl, Katy and the others at the front desk.

Love everything about it. The staff is helpful and efficient. Hotel is clean and beautifully decorated. Total comfort.

I rave about this hotel !

The beds are so comfortable there's a 24hour pool ! The staff is so helpfull it's in a good location (casscade station) where there is shopping and food !

The hotel it's self is very modern very hip!

Iev stayed hear multiple times over (7) and I have never had a bad experience ! I love aloft
