Let me start off by saying I am a Platinum member of Marriott and a owner of a Marriott Timeshare in South Lake Tahoe so I stay at a lot of Marriott locations. I think I have a good idea as to what each brand (Courtyard, SpringHill, Fairfield, Residence Inn, Marriott's etc.) has to offer and how their properties should be.
The Marriott Courtyard North Harbor is in a good location to the airport with a beautiful view of the Columbia River. The building its self looks very nice from the outside, great lobby and a very nice courtyard in the back overlooking the Columbia River. It also has underground parking. Where is is really lacking is the upkeep of the rooms, management and the people whom are infront of their customers. My comments are not from just one or two stays, I have stayed at this hotel five or six times over the last year or so. It's just very spotty in their customer relations and room upkeep. If you can get passed the low customer service and rooms that are in need of repair then its a good place to stay. I am not talking major damage to the rooms, its broken old tiles in the bathrooms, windows seals that are broken, carpet that is old and stained, beds, towel and sheet quality is poor, underground parking always has water puddies on the ground due to leeking pipes and/or bad drainage. The place just needs to good management and some money to fix and upgrade the place.
Really to bad as the place has great potential to be a very very nice hotel with the localtion to the Columbia River.
