No room for us even though we had a two week in advance reservation.
Couldn't get a hold of anyone to tell us why.
The next morning we received a phone call telling us " sorry, the night manager had not done his job." DAH........you think? We got a room down the road thanks to a nice lady, otherwise we would have had to stay the night in our PU.
We noticed this motel is for sale, maybe it would be a good spot for someone to start one.

On approach off Hwy 101, we saw the old sign for Sea Crest and wondered if we had booked the right place, as it looked rather run down.

We need not have worried. The welcome by the owner was incredibly warm and sincere, our room on the top floor had the most amazing views of the ocean and coastline - rumor had it that there was a "resident" whale resting near the port, we didn't see it.

Free wifi was great and the rooms incredibly clean, quiet and comfortable. With a good folder full of local information.

The owner recommended Paula's bistro in town for dinner and we had the best meal of our whole trip. Can't beat the value - particularly as they honored an incorrect price quotation we had been emailed, I was very impressed by this as I offered to pay the correct price.

My wife and I were looking for a motel to stop at as we traveled the Oregon coast and just happened to see the Sea Crest Motel in Port Orford, OR. The price was perfect. The room was very comfortable with a phenomenal view of the ocean. The service was outstanding. We met the manager, Dean Goodwin, and he treated us like family. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop and spend time at the Sea Crest Motel.

Yes, this motel is a bit dated, but the rooms are quite nice, with a wonderful view of the sea. The upstairs rooms are pet free, downstairs they allow dogs. If you don't have a dog, ask for an upstairs room to get the best view. The location is on a hill above the coastal highway and there is hardly any traffic at night, so it is very quiet. You can sit by the window and watch the fishing boats in the morning. We tried to spot some whales, but had no luck. This motel does not offer breakfast, but it is just outside Port Orford, which offers several places.
