We took our first vacation in Port Orford OR. We chose to stay in one motel The Sea Crest Motel. It is in a great location that provides short trip to surrounding areas. We found the hotel to be comforable with a killer view. When you look out the bay window that all the rooms have you get to see the ocean in all or its glory. On the other side when you step out the door you get to see large trees that have a wonderful smell. this smell mingles with the fresh ocean air. The motel also is very pet friendly and has this nice little area for the dogs and if you have cats a place for them to romp and investigae. The motel managers called us by name and our dog too, making our stay feel even more homey. The manager provided us with great locations to dine that had wonderful food and a personal touch. The Port and Starboard new us by name and was expecting us when we arrived. Our hotel had internet access and all the tourist information that one could possibly want including the best times to visit.
The Sea Crest is envirmental safe keeping product that are safe to the environment. Each room is clean and smells fresh. This is definatly a place we will go back to.

No room for us even though we had a two week in advance reservation.
Couldn't get a hold of anyone to tell us why.
The next morning we received a phone call telling us " sorry, the night manager had not done his job." DAH........you think? We got a room down the road thanks to a nice lady, otherwise we would have had to stay the night in our PU.
We noticed this motel is for sale, maybe it would be a good spot for someone to start one.

On approach off Hwy 101, we saw the old sign for Sea Crest and wondered if we had booked the right place, as it looked rather run down.

We need not have worried. The welcome by the owner was incredibly warm and sincere, our room on the top floor had the most amazing views of the ocean and coastline - rumor had it that there was a "resident" whale resting near the port, we didn't see it.

Free wifi was great and the rooms incredibly clean, quiet and comfortable. With a good folder full of local information.

The owner recommended Paula's bistro in town for dinner and we had the best meal of our whole trip. Can't beat the value - particularly as they honored an incorrect price quotation we had been emailed, I was very impressed by this as I offered to pay the correct price.

My wife and I were looking for a motel to stop at as we traveled the Oregon coast and just happened to see the Sea Crest Motel in Port Orford, OR. The price was perfect. The room was very comfortable with a phenomenal view of the ocean. The service was outstanding. We met the manager, Dean Goodwin, and he treated us like family. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop and spend time at the Sea Crest Motel.
