“This is a Jewel!”

This is such a special and unique place. Each cabin is beautifully decorated and located in the forest - perched on a cliff, with the big hot tub overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The cabins are spaced and very private and comfortable. There is a lovely common area that the scrumptious breakfast is served. This place is such an incredibly serene and relaxing spot. The owners are attentive to every detail. We look forward to our next visit.

“Enchanting!”

My husband and I traveled to Wild Spring from Chicago for our 10th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday. It was beyond our expectations! The setting is amazing, the cabin cozy and comfortable - beautifully decorated with antiques. The woods around our cabin had the most incredible smell. We noticed it as soon as we got out of our car. We spent each evening in the hot tub, listening to the ocean. The breakfasts were so good! We enjoyed everything about Wildspring, including the warmth and friendliness of the owners. The town is small, but what we expected. Walks along the ocean during low tide resulted in some amazing photo opportunities! We can't wait to go back!

“WildSpring You Make My Heart Sing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

My wife and I spent two wonderful days here at WildSpring on an impromptu trip to the beach. It was gloriously peaceful and calm. It was as though there were no other human beings anywhere. The rooms are cozy and really comfortable. The breakfasts were simply marvelous in terms of quality, quantity and above all "taste". As my wife says: Yumerific!

“Some Advice...”

Overall WildSpring was a nice retreat for a couple of nights. The cabins were well appointed and the breakfast was great. However, one thing to be aware of is that there aren't any phones available for guest use on site. There are no phones in the rooms and the only phone in the main guest house is the main office line for WildSpring. Guests may use the main line for only a few minutes if it's a necessity but time allotted is limited and also based on availability of the phone. This made it difficult for my husband as he required the use of a phone on a couple occasions to deal with baggage issues as well as work-related matters.

With all due respect, this is one of those situations where it's very hard to maintain an even temperament.

To be as simple and clear as possible:

1. Our website says on 4 different pages there are no phones in the cabins.

2. There is never a problem with guests using our office phone at any time. We gave you our phone immediately every single time you asked - and there were many. You had explained that the roaming charges on your cell from Canada were horrendous and we were happy to help.

3. However, when you took up our office line for so long (over 20 minutes) in the mid-afternoon during the time incoming guests are likely to call for directions, we finally did say we needed the phone back, but we gave you one of our cell phones with no time restraints.

4. If you had ever told us you needed the phone for an extended period of time, we would have taken you up on your offer to use your calling card and would have given you a cellphone to use earlier. We finally did ask at that time that you put your call on a calling card.

5. Then, when we emailed you to pass on the telephone company charges for your calls – almost 5% of your entire stay - you had a fit, threatening us with bad reviews. We did not charge you since we really hate unhappy guests.

Yet you still gave this review.

Why would anyone think this is fair or honest.

“Our new favorite B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

This is a very unique property and it is now our favorites B&B. The best way to describe it is probably "nature and luxury combined". We stayed here on an anniversary trip and really enjoyed the experience. The five cabins are nestled in the forest with the guest hall a short walk away. The breakfast was very good, the grounds were lovely and serene and the hot tub overloooking the Pacific Ocean was wonderful. WildSpring is simply unlike any place we have ever stayed. The Redfish restaurant just down the hill in Port Orford was delicious and the views were breathtaking. For such a quiet and unspoiled area of the country, the south Oregon coast also has so much to do. Nearby is world class golf, jetboating on the Rouge river and scenic hiking at Cape Blanco, Port Orford Heads and any other state park. Also, since we live in Florida, we adored the cool summer climate. We had a wonderful experience and would love to visit again!

Room Tip: Book Annwyn cabin. It has a great little wood burning stove.
