No question about the great view from this property. Wonderful to wake up to. On the other hand, the facility is very dated and poorly maintained. We had two rooms. One was a basic room with two queen beds and seemed adequate. The other was in a "one bedroom suite" Room 11, which had a bathroom with a big hole where the overflow drain on the sink should have been, cabinetry in the so-called "kitchenette" made from old plywood with some crappy white paint thrown on, a refrigerator with a dent in the door where doorknob from the room entry door hits it, and a laminate countertop with holes. The hotel doesn't provide shampoo unless you ask for it, in which case they pour some into a plastic water glass for you. You also have to see the office to get a hair dryer or iron. The bar of soap provided for the shower is so small that if you have two people, there won't be enough. One of the towels was as thick and absorbent as a piece of paper. The other was OK. The place has electric baseboard heaters (remember them from 30 years ago?). Some of them work.
Living area was comfortable. Sofa and loveseat. Smallish but adequate TV. Great view. Bed had a foam topper, but that's about all that can be said for it.
View makes up for a lot of it, but $100 per night in the middle of December is hard to swallow for what you get. Personable staff, but why did they put a family with a jumping child directly above us when there were only about three rooms occupied in the entire hotel? And a note to the owner: You can replace that bathroom sink for a lot less than what I paid for one night. Do it.
