My wife and I stayed here for one night of a trip along the coast from San Francisco to Portland. It was the best place we stayed at on the trip. The hosts are a delightful couple, Roger and Judy McSharry, who outfitted the three-bedroom lower level of the house for assisted living and are now renting it by the night. We paid a mere $75,

It was a lovely place, Roger and Judy are great and helpful, Port Orford is a lovely little coastal town. Couldn't ask for more.

If you make a reservation you might want to call. They don't check their email very often.

We found the Vagabond House for a spur of the moment reunion vacation with our friends from Portland. It was exactly what we were looking for: comfortable, cozy, economical, spacious, perfect location, and pleasant all around. The owners are likable and non-obtrusive, happy to accommodate and provide travel advice, but also gave us all the space we needed to enjoy the apartment in their lovely home for a weekend of fun with friends and family. The beach is right nearby and all of Port Orford's attractions easily accessible.

Check this place out!!! You will love it!! So close to the beach and for the price it's amazing! Tons of room, a full kitchen and washer and dryer, gorgeous patio! Roger and Judy are wonderful and we will definitely be going back!

We found the Vagabond House online and chose to try it out. Boy, were we glad we did! Roger and Judy were absolutely wonderful hosts! They live right upstairs and are available to answer any questions or help out in anyway. However, they give you ample privacy! The place itself is AWESOME! VERY clean and well equipped with everything you'd need! Fully equipped kitchen, laundry, big screen television...the works! Beautifully decorated. VERY close to the beach, you can literally hear the ocean waves from the patio! A quaint little oceanside community (Port Orford) and miles of beach to explore! (the kids had a blast!) It's very affordable in comparison to other vacation rentals along the Southern Oregon Coast. We cannot say enough good about our stay! We will definately return, and HIGHLY recommend this beautiful place to anyone wishing to stay as they enjoy this beautiful area! THANK YOU Roger and Judy!!!!
