“Gracious and Tasteful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

As a retirement gift my wife's former co-workers gifted her with a night's stay at The Craftsman. We stretched that to two days over our anniversary, and are very happy we did. My five-star rating, which Michael and Laura certainly deserve, is gratefully given for their friendliness and the tasteful accommodation they provide. Speaking of "tasteful," breakfasts are anything but Ho-hum affairs: Michael enjoys preparing them as much as we did on the fork end! When I told him I was avoiding wheat, he served gluten-free French toast...and later left a plate of cookies (also GF) on the table for snacking. Upstairs, we slept in the Prairie Room, with its spacious bath and veeeery comfortable bed. We grabbed a couple of books from the lobby library, and with robes to lounge in, retired to peaceable quiet in the evenings. Ahhh...

When you read this (somewhat) belated review, Michael, accept again our Thanks for a fine visit in your beautifully remodeled home.

Room Tip: The Prairie Room is a bit larger and has an extra chair, but all are comfortable.

“A Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

My husband and I had 4 days to drive from Vancouver to Northern California. We wanted to drive the Oregon coast so I picked out Pacific City as our first nights stop. Wished we had more time. Mike was a wonderful host, our room was lovely and had a really comfortable bed and large bathroom. The beach is a short walk away. Mike gave us great dining tips, also a short stroll. Breakfast was yummy. Will definitely return.

“Perfect weekend trip to the coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

We live in Portland and wanted a weekend getaway to the coast, and our stay at the Craftsman was exactly what we were looking for. Mike was extremely helpful and welcoming, and the location was ideal for what we wanted - walking distance from the beach and restaurants and removed from crowds.
Mike recommended a beautiful hike for the daytime followed by a delicious restaurant right across the street for our "date night" on Saturday night. We followed up dinner with a sunset and bottle of wine from the extensive Craftsman cellar and a dip in the hot tub.
An extra treat? Freshly baked cookies/brownies/treats waiting for us each afternoon in the dining room!
We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed very private and quiet.

“Amazing B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

My husband and I stayed one night at the Craftsman B&B on our vacation to Oregon last week...and we left wishing that we could stay much longer. Everything about this place is just great. Mike was an awesome host and gave us lots of great advice about local restaurants and things to do. Breakfast was SO good, and we had a nice long conversation with our fellow house-guests. We stayed in the Stickley Room, which was beautifully decorated and had a huge bathroom (and the bed was super comfortable). Pacific City is definitely our favorite place on the Oregon coast (so far), and we will definitely be making a return trip to the Craftsman!
