“Very good seafood with a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2009

Stopped here for dinner on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Quaint little restaurant on the beach with limited seating. Daily local fresh seafood specials. Our dinner was very good with a nice veiw of the beach.

“Yummy Gourmet Style Food & Delicious Dessert!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2009

We decided to try out Roseanna's on a whim. We wanted to get dessert at another restaurant but they didn't have much left so we looked up places online that had good dessert and Roseanna's came up. When we got there we decided to have dinner also. I ordered the vegetable quiche and my husband ordered the burger. The food was really really good and was made totally gourmet style. The dessert was incredible! They have a huge list...I decided to have the triple chocolate mousse cake...TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!! The staff was very friendly and so were the other customers. Only thing I didn't like was how small the place was and how tiny our table was as well. The food was very very fresh and hot and very filling. Our total bill was $24.50...not bad for the quality.

“View is great - everything else is so so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2009

I appreciated the view and the wide range of options for vegetarians and meat eaters, but the rest of the restaurant was lackluster.

The service wasn't bad but wasn't exceptional. The decor is limited, but that's understandable given the beautiful view outside. The food sounded great, fresh, and relatively inventive with some standard fare as well. However, it was a bit bland in reality.

I would go there again if I were in the area and I'm sure I would have a perfectly fine meal and visit. It just didn't blow me away.

“Make Sure You Leave Room For Dessert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2009

We were staying in nearby Netarts recently and had read reviews of Roseanna's Oceanside Cafe before we left on our trip, so wanted to be sure to have dinner while staying in the area. We arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, so we were there before the crunch of the dinner crowd. We were able to get a table by the window that looks down on the neighboring beach and out to the large rock outcroppings and surf. We started our dining experience with an appetizer - the Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms. They were stuffed with shrimp, salmon and crab and laying in a delectable white sauce that had my husband spooning the sauce into his mouth after we had finished the mushrooms! For dinner I had the halibut, grilled, with a lemon-butter sauce. You can have your choice of pan fried or grilled and a number of different sauces for your halibut (or salmon if you order that). The halibut was very fresh; one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. My husband had the Razor Clams, breaded and fried, but the breading didn't overpower the clams. They were done to perfection. Our sides were red roasted potatoes and a surprising squash dish that left us wondering how they prepared it. Then came the final pleasure for our taste buds--dessert! On the wall near where you dine, there is a large sign that lists all of their desserts. We laughed because while you were planning your meal, eating your meal, the sign is always there tempting you with this list of wonderfully-tempting concoctions. My husband had the Marionberry Cobbler, but allowed me a bite and when the berries hit my mouth, it was instant heaven! Oh, my goodness! At that point I was disappointed that I didn't order that, but then I had the first bite of my dessert--the 3-milk coconut cake with fresh strawberries--and knew I had made the right choice. The cake was very moist, refreshing, and making me wish we had the rest of the cake pan to take with us. All in all, this was a wonderful dining experience. While the price for all of this was a lot more than we would normally pay, it was a special evening, and so we had no shock when the ticket was put on our table. With a glass of wine and coffee, too, tip included brought out tab up to $90. The only negative I might throw out is that the tables along the window are right on top of each other, so you do feel a little cramped if someone is sitting directly behind you at the next table, but you quickly forget that when you start enjoying the food. By the time we left, the restaurant was full, so we were glad that we arrived early. Worth the drive over to Oceanside, which is a charming town -- walk off your dinner on the beach!

“Awsome Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2009

This restaurant was only 3-4 doors down from where we staying in Oceanside and we managed to have dinner there twice while staying in Oceanside. Food is excellent and each night the regular menu has 3 or 4 specials as well. View of the ocean is perfect whether its sunny or rainy (we had both). Watching the gulls try to land in high winds was quite entertaining. Desserts are wonderful as well. Reservations are not accepted so depending on the time of year or day you go, you may have a wait but its worth it.
