“When in Newport go local family owned!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2011 via mobile

Recently I stayed here thought it was a decent price however the bottom sheets were not changed micro not cleaned cig burns in comforter cob webs on ceiling and hot tub was not clean. Turns out it was not a good deal. Went up the road stayed at a family ran place that despite the lack of updates was cozy and clean had everything days inn did minus hot tub and bear bite breakfast and it was almost $30 cheaper!

“Good Value for Money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2010

We stayed here on our trip up the coast for one night. We got a ground floor room which was nice and clean and comfortable. It was in a good location you could easily walk to the beach and a short drive to resturants. It has recently been painted, and there is a small jacuzzi that was nice to relax in after a long days drive. Had problems getting interent but there were plenty of free ones available.

Would recommend staying here for the cheap $90 or so we paid.

“Clean, great location, quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

Great location close to everything. We got a corner room which was very quiet and clean. The only problem was there was no continental breakfast left by 8am. Everything in the room was almost brand new and they had a comfortable bed. No air conditioning though but there was a nice powerful fan and the room kept cool in the warm weather.

“Some real drawbacks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2010

I booked this room based on good reviews and a decent price. This Days Inn feels "budget" in many ways. I had to wait more than five minutes in the small reception room for someone to help me check in. The rooms are all outdoor entrance with windows facing the walkway. As a solo female traveler this does presents safety and privacy issues. I felt I had to keep the drapes closed to keep people from looking into my room. I also had to keep the window closed and latched which is too bad because there's no A/C, although they provide a fan in the room. It seems they normally keep the windows open during Summer to keep the rooms cool and I was upset to find they had opened my window after cleaning. They kept the drapes closed, but my laptop was sitting right on the table by the now open window with just a screen as an obstacle. The room does have a 32" flatscreen TV, fridge and microwave. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as they are in most Days Inns.

“Great value and great views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2010

My wife and I were lucky to get a room here on the 4th of July. We got the corner suite with kitchen, woodstove, jacuzzi tub and oceans views. For all that on a holiday weekend the price was very very reasonable.
