If you are allergic to smoke, avoid this hotel. I spent three nights here and had to wear a respirator any time I was in my room. Smoke fills the hall and also comes through the bathroom vent. I could hardly tolerate being in the bathroom. I had to leave my window open all day long to air it out.

I walked through the entire building before talking to the gentleman at the front desk in hopes to find a less smoky area. Both hallways, up stairs and down, were smoky. From what I saw, there appeared to be one smoking room and that room was at the opposite end of the hotel from my room.

The man at the front desk was very kind and willing to move me, but from my walk-through, I couldn't imagine where he could have placed me to get it less smoky - and I didn't want to move any closer to that smoking room. He admitted that this hotel is smoky all the time because guests don't honor the no-smoking policy and the state of Oregon won't back him by assessing the $500 fine. He told me there was nothing he could do to resolve the smoke problem.

The morning I checked out, I noticed a hole that had been burned through the bedspread that was about the size of a cigarette. It confirmed that guests are smoking in non-smoking rooms. At that point, I was so glad I was leaving.

I won't stay here again. I will be writing letters to the Travelodge Corporation, Wyndham Corporation and the necessary state representatives to file a complaint.

Great value for money accommodation. Very easy to find. Although on "the main drag" it was quiet. The title says it all. Although this Travelodge did not have a great number of bells and whistles it had all that we required during our holiday. The complimentary breakfast was as nice as many expensive hotels. I would recommend this hotel/travellodge to anyone. A short 5 minute walk to Fred Meyer, BoA, and Safeway.

There are not a lot of hotel options in Newburg, so we tried this hotel. The bed was very noisy, as in every time one of us moved. I hate to have to write this, but the bathroom did not have a "clean" smell to me. The lobby was okay, but the carpeting needed cleaning. Front desk was friendly and efficient. Overall, this place could use a good cleaning.

Conveniently located hotel with clean rooms and decent prices. Great base for exploring wine country. Save your money by staying here and treat yourself to a great dinner.
