“Econo Lodge??? WOW!”

We got lost. Our Garmin sent us to an industrial area. !?!? We drove & I spotted an Econo Lodge. I figured they would know where OUR Econo Lodge was. They did. But the Marine said "No Way am I gonna stay if it's like THAT!". We drove. We found the RIGHT Econo Lodge. Oh boy! First of all we arrived two days early. No problem. they dealt with it. The room was GREAT. 2 TV's (1 for the parlor/eating area & 1 for the bedroom) Clean, quiet. Near enough to Portland, OR & other stuff we wanted to do to make it a BONUS. Nice little breakfast bar, not fancy, but if you want bacon & eggs & the rest, there's a restaurant across the street... go get your bacon. Mom & Pop feeling. Close to lots of Neat places like The Bomber Restaurant... it has a REAL WWII Bomber out front.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room, that was great! it's a quiet place so all the rooms are fine. Ther...

“Happy we Returned”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Stayed at Econo Lodge Southeast again, and were pleased with our room. Still a good value for the price and clean enough. Not too much noise, considering the busy traffic out front and fully booked motel status.
This time we walked over to Hale's Restaurant just across the side street for breakfast, and it was very good and reasonably priced. There is food available across the highway, too.
This Econo Lodge location works out well for a home base to places like Bob's Red Mill (for whole-grain goodies) and Dave's Killer Bread. Second Hand stores, especially the "Red, White and Blue" are close by. Oregon City's historic sites and Museum are just down 99E.
Yes, we're happy we returned!

“The room makes this Very Good !”

There are a few motels in this area, but not many. This one is very clean and well kept. The rooms are very large with a separate sitting area, kitchen (frig, microwave, sink) and TV. The bedroom also has a large TV and large bathroom. Because we were there for a time, it was important to have a little space. The heater/AC unit was located in the sitting area which made the operation quiet and wasn't blowing right on you while you were sleeping. Breakfast was just the typical Continental with fruit; so nothing special there. There was a coin operated washer and dryer which is handy when staying a long time. Both accept quarters only. Had a couple of nights of guests who were 'loud'...not the best sleep on those evenings. There is a nice grass area just across the side street for walking your dog. Please clean-up after the walk.

Room Tip: Have only stayed on the first floor. Did stay in the very last room at the deadend of the outside w...

Room Tip: We had lower floor, non-smoking. Room 105 has a jacuzzi, twin TV,

“Family Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

Our family trip with the kids was just perfect when we stayed at the Econo Lodge in Milwaukie, Oregon. When checking in the front desk staff provided us a complimentary map of Portland and all the fun places to visit while we were in town. Our kids loved the pool and the breakfast in the morning was plentiful. We were close to all the shopping and had the best sleep ever. The hotel housekeepers made our room everyday and it was spotless. This hotel will be our favorite place to stay every time we come into town to visit family. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a good nights rest, friendly staff, and most importantly a clean room.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor away from the highway and we loved it.
