We discovered this gem in 2006, extending our length of stay each summer since and adding weekend visits during the fall. This summer we spent several weeks enjoying the trails, river, sandy beaches and views. Here we find the time and space to relax, read books, fish, reconnect with family/ friends and discover new things. The cabins are amply furnished, clean and comfortable. The ranch is within easy driving distance to many of Oregon’s treasures, good eating and entertainment, although our preference is to stay on site. Rick and Carol are welcoming hosts and they certainly are part of the charm of the Ranch experience. Many treasured memories have been made for our family at Doubletree Ranch and each visit has ended with wishing that we had even more time.

We found the Doubletree 15 years ago and have returned every year since. We love the peace and quiet, nature, cozy cabins and friendly ranch owners Rick and Carol.

roomy w/2 couches, 2 queen beds, kitchenette and deck. located next to the rogue river and 10 minutes from town of merlin. rick and carole were wonderful, gracious hosts. so quiet and comfortable. rainie falls trail 25 minutes down the road. wonderful find.

The Doubletree Ranch is the perfect get away for families with children, especially if you're looking for a place to vacation with your dog. Our cabin was beautiful and felt very cozy and inviting. We spent our days walking the trails down to the Rogue river, picking ripe blackberries along the way. We conversed with the horses, watched deer (or they watched us) and played in the river. There is a nice beach for wading into the water, and for those who want to swim, just wander in a littler farther! There is plenty of wildlife for viewing and exploring. The kids had a blast. The dog had an even better time, being able to run and play with the other ranch dogs and swim in the river. We had an incredible time, and we look forward to our next visit with owners Carol and Rick at the Doubletree Ranch.
