“Average, Inexpensive, Clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

My husband and I had to stay in Medford for 1 night and we weren't looking for anything fancy. We wanted cheap and clean with a convenient location to the airport and the I5. The Ramada is just that - nothing more.
I reserved online a few days before and booked a king non-smoking room for $65.
Check in was quick and easy. The front desk told us they are in the middle of updating all of their locks so since ours was a new style it wouldn't open the pool. If we wanted to use the pool we'd have to come to the desk for a key and they could give us towels too.
The room was older looking but clean. The shampoo/conditioner/lotion on the counter was better than the shampoo in the wall dispenser in the shower. I'm not sure why there were both but I tried both shampoos. The shower head was pretty low and I'm only 5'4".
After dinner I went to the desk to ask if there was a hot tub in the pool area. There is not so we didn't use it. We saw a fitness room.
It was cold in Medford and the room has its own heating/cooling unit on the exterior wall. Its loud and I didn't turn it up enough (or all the way I should say) so we were cold overnight.
There was a decent free breakfast included too. There was sausages, make your own waffles with syrup, toast, bagels, danishes, hard boiled eggs, 6 cereals, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices. Pretty good.
Overall it's basic accommodation and the price is right for what you get. Decent for us overnight.

“Best value in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011 via mobile

Great hotel! The room was spacious and CLEAN! I have 2 young kids who loved the 2 ft kiddie pool. Great breakfast, make your own waffles, cereal, sausage, apple & pastries. Hotel is located between a 24 hr. Grocery store and Fred Meyer. Great hotel:)

“Security and Personnel Issues”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

My wife and I stayed there on 10/12/11. We came in with a coupon rate which they honored.
We unpacked everything and then discovered that the floor in the bathroom was very sticky. We asked the front desk if the floor could be cleaned. Because the night maintenance crew wouldn't be there for quite some time, and because our room was directly across from the ice machine, ( which was quite noisy because its cover had been removed), we chose to change rooms. We also wanted to park our car near a room whose outside security light was working. We saw several lights that were not working and went to the front desk about this. At the front desk were three police officers talking with the clerk. We asked what was going on and the clerk said that the facility had multiple accesses that they needed to check.
We noticed that all the outside doors were not secure and did not lock. There are several access doors from the outside and vehicles can drive completely around the motel. Even though they had cameras, this was very disconcerting. Later, we went right next door to a grocery store and noticed people loitering outside. When we came out of the store the same police officiers that had been at the motel were handcuffing an inindividual wirth a back pack. Not a very safe feeling and we worried all night about security.

When we checked in, the clerk said she would honor our Windham points, and when when we changed rooms we verified the same. After returning home, I called the motel to find out why I hadn't had points credited. Tthe "manager" told me it was their policy that you do not get points if you use a coupon. She could not tell me specifiics ,as I requested, and ended up hanging up on me and would not give me her name. The motel was clean and nicely appointed but because of the safety factors, we definitely will not stay there again.

After calling Windham, and going through their policy on this, they ended up giving me my points as a goodwill gesture because nowhere in their policy does it state the word "coupon" as a reason for not giving points.

In this economy, Wyndham should be happy to give points no matter what rate is paid. From now on, I will not be brand loyal when picking a coupon.

“Weird location, popular hang-out for vagrants.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We were a little surprised by the reviews of this place. Maybe we got the worst room in the hotel, but we would NEVER stay here again. Our room looked like a cell. Stark white walls, outdated everything and a bathroom so small you had to straddle the toilet to close the door. Also, you have to drive through a FoodMaxx parking lot to even get to the place. Apparently, in Medford, this is the local vagrant hang-out. We were approached by an interesting fellow getting out of our car. Needless to say, we parked further away. Questionable security, as the side door is kept unlocked. NO water pressure int he shower to speak of. I mean, trickles. The ONLY good thing...it was clean enough.

Room Tip: Do not stay in the room next to the gym.

“Very Pleased”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

Was very happy here with a spacious room and WiFi. Television was flat screened and large. Linens were good and ample pillows and towels. Breakfast was a plus with waffles, sausages, boiled eggs, etc. etc. Not the Ritz, but for a good price I would stay again.
