“Wow! Fantastic place to stay.”

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owners (Wayne and Nicolette) are great people and the staff (Coleen and Becky) are fantastic. They make you feel right at home and attend to your every need. The rooms are beautiful and the food leaves you wanting for more although after breakfast, you won't have any room for it.

Overall, we had a wonderful time and we would go back in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Their web site is very good. Check it out to see which room you want or just call them for their su...

“Like a second home in the country”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We love staying at Youngberg Hill, and do so at least once a year. The rural view, in Oregon's wine country, is spectacular. And the proprietors make you feel right at home. A great place for a quiet weekend away, or as a base for exploring Yamhill County's winemakers.

I love that you called us your ‘second home’. We are so proud of the welcome feeling we get when we hear guests describe us that way. We really appreciate knowing that you feel this way as it means so much to us. Thank you.

“Very Wonderful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We had such a great time at this BnB. It is local for us and have always wanted to stay there. They were very gracious to us. The wine tasting was a great asset for patrons. Nice little gift shop with wine and clothing to purchase as a memory of our visit. The granola/yogurt parfait for breafast was very refreshing with fresh berries. We didn't care for the potatoe casserole or the sausage, but overlooked that, as the host was so wonderful, the table was decorated with Christmas decor, and the view from the table was breathtaking. We had trouble with our fireplace, would not stay lit, but talked to the owner, and he said he would definitely fix that. The complementary wine in the room was nice, the bed was very comfy and the restroom shower was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful Anniversary!!

Room Tip: Gamay was on first floor, no stairs to tackle. Fireplace and view was great asset.

We are so glad you could celebrate your anniversary with us. We are always working on updates to our breakfast and will definitely look at the casserole and make changes. Come back soon.

“Just what a B & B Inn should be”

Youngberg Inn is a pretty place perched high on a hill with stupendous views of the vineyards, farms and mountains beyond. Yes, we liked our quiet and spacious room and the welcoming public spaces. Yes, we appreciated the incredibly comfortable bed and the enormous jacuzzi. But what really sets Youngberg Hill apart is the inn-keeping. Becky took wonderful care of us, cooking up a delicious breakfast, making cookies in the afternoon, giving us terrific advice on a day trip to the coast. She clearly loves her work. Wayne's deep affection for the land, for making his superb wine, and for sharing this spot (and wine tasting) with guests came through from the minute we met him. Delightful people, delightful inn. Highly recommended.

“Coupon holders beware”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

We agree this is a wonderful place to stay, which is why we bought two Bloomspot coupons for $149 each, worth $290 each, and got email confirmations of $520 for two nights including free breakfast and wine tasting. We wondered why the coupons said maximum $200/room, $40 breakfast, and $50 wine tasting per night, but figured that was the breakdown. When we paid our bill we found that the $520 was only for the room, and the $40 and $50/night were added to the bill. The $520 confrimation was their "standard" confirmation, not for coupon holders. So the real rate was $350/night, including $100 for wine tastings that we didn't even get to. They said they were sorry that we couldn't attend! While we did end up with a limited discount from the "rack rate", this sort of bait and switch tactic left a very unpleasant taste in our mouths even after some excellent pinot noirs in the region.

We apologize for any confusion on the Bloomspot promotion. Unfortunately, Youngberg Hill was not the one who set the terms of this promotion. It was a Bloomspot promotion, not a Youngberg Hill promotion. However, we should have and will in the future provide a confirmation that is specific to that promotion.

We were dissappointed that this guest did not join us for the wine tasting but it remains the choice of our guests as to whether they want to join us. In either case, Bloomspot customers enjoy a discount of over 20% on the room with the Bloomspot promotion.
