The weather at the coast in winter can be really lovely if you get lucky and time it right. We came down with my friend's dogs on a beautiful, 50 degree sunny day and left the next day when it was even warmer. The Spindrift Inn has got to be the cheapest, cleanest dog-friendly place on the coast. The dogs were comfy and the rooms were quiet, cute, comfortable, and very clean. No pet smell detected by us or the hounds. Whether you have a pet or not, this is a screaming deal, especially if you get the rock-bottom "Redhot" rate mentioned on their website. Manzanita itself is mellow and pretty with an expansive beach and no bumper cars or crowded touristy junk. If you prefer relaxation on the north coast, this is a great spot.

This place has been here forever but not in a divey way. It's got its own charm/funkyness/beachy feel to it.

It's also:
clean - no dust, fresh paint
hot shower - and the shower head is old enough that it really puts out the water
towels - fluffy and new
heat - plenty of and YOU control it
room - we got one that has 2 rooms so it felt bigger
windows - new so no drafts and quiet
bed - comfy and did not feel an old bed

For the price, location, there cannot be complaints!

Got the Fall Fling rate, which was incredibly reasonable. Nice room, cute little courtyard, and very near good food. What is not to like???

I booked a room at the inn with two queen beds when my friends and I drove down the coast. It was so affordable staying here and the town of Manzanita is so cute. We ate at the pizza place across the street and loved it! We also walked across to the bar. I recommend this inn for those who want to be close to the beach and want to walk places. It is a lot cheaper than Cannon Beach hotels.

I enjoyed the fact that you can rent movies from the front desk! Thst extra touch that just made us feel at home. The place has an older feel to it but it just seems cozy.
