im a local in lincolncity and chose to go visit surftides for the best view in town.I chose a busy week to see how they would treat a local.i must say they are very hospitable in every manor
i even seen the front desk guy randomly up grade two guest just to give them a better experience at the coast as a local heir i love to see tourist be treated like family.The rooms are very clean and when i called the front desk to get anything they were on it in a timely manor.they have a kick back spot to roast smores.Four fire pits located in the center of the hotel.Before i go on all day about this great place i would like to thank dayton and jeremy from the front desk every time i went to the desk in the day dayton would ask how my stay is going and jeremy would call are room every night just to make sure we were ok and see if he could do anything for us.one last thing i thought was cool of jeremy i seen a elder guest get upset because the casino shuttle bus was late he called a taxi and took money out of his pocket to pay her taxi fair one minute later the scuttle showed up. pretty cool of them to go above and beyond like that

An affordable hotel right on the beach - not too fancy, but very comfortable and lovely views.

We loved our stay at Surftides. We spent Christmas night there. A great room with a balcony looking out at the ocean cost only $75 with our AARP discount. The sheets on the king bed were to die for! The pool and hot tub are in a building across the driveway and found no changing facilites other than the restrooms but they were clean and pleasant. The restaurant didn't offer it's usual menu--only a big expensive dinner that we weren't in the mood for but that apparently wasn't the only place with that policy. Between Newport and Lincoln city all we saw open were 2 Burger King drive throughs! We'll definately stay again but maybe not on Christmas.

We visited for two nights and paid $89 with our AAA discount. The view of the Ocean from the rooms is terrific. The floor to ceiling doors open onto a balcony looking directly west, to sea. Although cold, windy and sometimes rainy when we visited, the view is even more stunning when the waves are driven by the winds.

The room was very clean with a comfortable King bed and a gas fireplace. The bathroom was clean, with good quality soap and shampoo. We especially liked the individual serving coffee maker. You can get extra coffee from the front desk and we enjoyed several warm cups in front of the fire. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The Mist restaurant on the property serves a decent breakfast at a reasonable price. They quickly ordered up two more soft boiled eggs when Carol's were too runny, and the replacements were perfect.

The bar at the mist has a good bar menu with reasonable prices. The sliders are a great value and filling. Try the crab, clam and fish sliders. Very good! The fish tacos were also superb.

The bar also has a local musician Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat nights. Enjoyable, if a little loud for me.

If you are a guest, ask for a discount on your meal at the restaurant and receive 15% off. Not available at the bar, though.

This property has other amenities we did not use - an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and exercise room.
