“Great Price, Great Experience”

We stayed here last May, and it was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is right on the beach and there's a spectacular view of the ocean. Everything was clean, we didn't have any problems. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had great food, and a lot of options to choose from. Overall, it was one of the best trips of my life. We will definitely come back.

We stayed in the Jr. suites on a midweek package originally for two nights. The upgrade to the suites was $25.00 for the two nights. The decor was unimaginable, but the view was grand. Our room was spacious with a fireplace and wet bar. The coupons on the package were generous, for both food and slots. We did not try the deli in the casino, but did try the four other dining venues. All were quite good with two of the restaurants having an ocean view.
We enjoyed it so much, we booked a third night and received more coupons for food and gaming as well as the same room rate. The personnel in the casino, restaurant , and motel were friendly and fun.
We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Check on line for availability, then call the hotel.

“Premium price, 1 star quality”

This was my first time to actually stay at the casino. While the Casino was very attractive and clean, I noticed the food quality at ALL of their restaurants to be rather spendy but poor quality. At one meal I paid $14 for a sandwich and fries that was honestly poorer quality than I would get at an Arbys.

The hotel rooms were one of the worst I have ever stayed in. All that was available was the single bed with no window, and it was $75. Was comparable quality to those $39 budget rooms you find in low income areas (that you stay in simply because you're dead tired). Bed was meh, a couple thin pillows, walls were super thin and you could hear people to all sides of you and above you(heard 4 different neighbors ALL NIGHT). They were small, cramped and had a tiny TV. You could barely fit into the bathroom to shut the door. There were a few stains and cracks that didn't bug me too much, but was enough to notice.

I am very friendly to staff, but found only 1 staff member in that entire casino that smiled back at me or was even courteous. It seemed everyone from the cashier, to the cleaning lady, to our waitresses...all were in a hurry and huffed if you asked for help on anything. I almost left the restaurant within 60 seconds of meeting our waitress.

In the future, I plan on sleeping and eating somewhere OTHER than the casino, and simply visiting it for the slots and perhaps a drink.

Room Tip: Go to visit, don't eat or sleep there

“Ok Room, Great Deal.”

We did NOT stay in the available suites, but in the regular rate rooms. As far as the room was concerned, it had a very comfortable king bed with nice linens. The towels provided in the bathroom were also very nice. I suppose if you are going to a casino to stay, you probably arent going there to watch a lot of television, but I thought that it was a little lame that only the suites were equipped with flatscreen televisions. The room was adequately clean, but it was obvious that the building needs some updates and repairs. Our room door showed evidence of tampering near the deadbolt section of the door...which, made me a little uneasy about the security. The room was also VERY hot when we arrived. We DID stay there in January on a stormy week, but the temp was a little over the top in the room.
One nice thing since the weather was very stormy was the availability of a shuttle to and from the casino. We used the service several times and was never more than a two or three minute wait for their arrival. The service is free but the shuttle drivers DO have a tip cup in the shuttle van.
The dining options are also decent even if you want to stay just on the casin o grounds. In the motel itself they had a nice place to order breakfast and each morning the breakfast was very good with excellent coffee. In the casino, they have a large lounge area which doubles as an evening dining area.
Now, for the GREAT DEAL part...we stayed on their "Weekday Getaway" package. For $199 we got two nights for two people, $120 in food vouchers to be used at any of the casino dining areas (alcohol and gratuity excluded) and $80 in gambling vouchers as well. We also had the steak dinner for two that they offer every tuesday night in the lounge area of the casino. For $27 we had fresh bread, salad, 16 oz steaks with steamed vegetables, a drink and dessert. Because we ordered the special, we each received another $5 in gambling vouchers. This was a really great deal for a quick getaway but it is only valid Sunday night through Thursday night.
Overall, I wasnt disappointed with anything other than the room, but I guess for what we paid and what we received in return, it was acceptable.

Room Tip: All rooms require the use of steps, even the ground floor rooms.

“Old and tired”

The pillows were soft but the beds were not. The TV reception was awful. The wireless didn’t work, the alarm clock didn’t work, the coffeemaker didn’t work… The rooms on even the first floor have stairs and no elevator. The food we had each day was consistently cold and seldom cooked correctly, and took forever. The wait staff was good, for the most part. The Ciopino was said to be not spicy at all, and it shouldn’t be. It was blisteringly spicy hot. Not much flavor, just hot.
The Casino was pretty nice. ¾ of the space is smoking but well-ventilated and all of the folks were friendly and helpful. Wireless did work there – sort of.

Room Tip: If you want the nice rooms, stay in a suite - though they are considerably more money.
